well its more American Indian. I'm from Canada, i have a treaty card that says 'Certificate of Indian status', issued by 'Indian and northern affairs Canada'. so considering us natives still consider ourselves Indian, i can see why people still refer to us a Indians. (no hate or anything like that intended, I'm just letting you know)😀
I'm genuinely curious. Do natives/indigenous actually refer to themselves as native American? Or would they have had another name for the land? Wasn't it European explorers who named it the Americas after Amerigo Vespucci? Also would the different tribes have their own names for the land and themselves or did they consider themselves a cohesive whole? Any info is appreciated in advance.
@@johnoneill3654 I am going to be honest. Some of these questions aren't easy to answer. We refer to ourselves many different names Native American, Indigenous, Aboriginal, First Nation, Indian or simply native. but that's just the tip of the iceberg. I am Cree, more specifically Plains Cree. but i refer to myself as Mikisew Cree First Nation. Mikisew meaning golden eagle.(their is probably 50+ different indigenous groups/tribes in the plains alone, plus every group has many sub-groups.) In Cree we use the word nēhiyawēwin, meaning plains people. or Néhiyaw meaning people. (not a direct translation because translating languages in to the English language is hard) We don't have an actual word we call the land because its not ours to give, its the Creators. (not god or Jesus, The Creator) Yes it was European explorers who named it the Americas after Amerigo Vespucci, but i had to google that because i didn't know. Do we consider ourselves a cohesive whole? yes and no, its hard to explain. i hope this doesn't come across as racist but the white man made sure of that. a good example is Cree vs Blackfoot. us Cree consider the Blackfoot savages and uncivilized, they consider us weak. I guess its kind of like American north vs south.(I used north vs south as an example because at the end of the day they're all Americans) Sorry if i didn't answer your questions, its not an easy topic to explain in the comment section of a UA-cam video.

no, just red dead fans apparently lol
dang that Christopher Columbus bet the native American people are glad he wasn't looking for Turkey!!
well its more American Indian.
(not god or Jesus, The Creator)
Yes it was European explorers who named it the Americas after Amerigo Vespucci, but i had to google that because i didn't know.
Do we consider ourselves a cohesive whole? yes and no, its hard to explain. i hope this doesn't come across as racist but the white man made sure of that. a good example is Cree vs Blackfoot. us Cree consider the Blackfoot savages and uncivilized, they consider us weak. I guess its kind of like American north vs south.(I used north vs south as an example because at the end of the day they're all Americans)
Sorry if i didn't answer your questions, its not an easy topic to explain in the comment section of a UA-cam video.
The sound quality in this game is so good that during my first day playing a bottel in a house along with someother stuff falls down(in the first chapter during snow storm) and I thought something in my room fell down. I was looking for the object for a few minutes and then I realised it was in game. Sorry my english is not good.
How did you find this out?
You make a lot of videos about rdr 2 maybe it's an exploration experiment of yours.
I study this masterpiece from morning till night

This game never ceases to amaze me I wonder how much cool stuff is still out there That nobody has seen
No one literally no one...
Weather reporters on this day:🧐
In all my years of playing rdr2 i've never seen this ty for showing us this video
I was half expecting you to get killed by lightning. Amazing how I'm finding out about new things in RDR2 years later.
I will bet you lunch at least one of the writers working on RDR2 watched the movie "Jeremiah Johnson." The idea of disrespecting Native American burial sites is a hugely important plot feature in the film, and even the layout looks very, very similar to what's in the game.
Cant believe noone has posted a video yet that this is where you locate the third meteorite
that’s such a good detail to add into the game omg
Commendable of you to try and clear out that litter.
... congratulations you found the first weather machine
This game is a masterpiece. Pure art.
It’s like entering a weather cheat code that instantly changes the weather.
After you see the lightning strike, ride hard to the monolith to the south east. If you get there fast enough you get the perpetual thunderstorm.
I think recommended is telling me to download red dead again, also crazy to see discoveries like this years later always great to see games no matter how old have people still digging around in them
Yeah this actually works, when I shot with explosive rounds the trees started swaying a little, then stopped, I then threw a fire bottle and it started pouring rain. Didn't get any lightening but still really cool
I was hoping it was gonna summon some spirit monster or a wendigo or something to destroy you, woulda been sick
This game has so many details man the amount of detail is literally unlimited
lol that pause after shooting the tree and the lightning strike happening. you could almost tell they were like wait did that just happen.
I’ve always wondered if when you throw the fire on the top skull and it starts instantly raining bad if there is a secret passage nearby that opens up that you can get in if you make it on time
Can’t wait until they remaster this for PS5🤞
Indians literally made an on off switch for the weather
Interesting video, this is so Discovery channel at midnight.
That Bad honor toll really triggered something.
It's funny I didn't realize untill recently that the mission when you and charles rescue eagle flies the heavy storm is caused by his father rains fall..
The attention of detail rockstar put in to rdr2 is insane
What a cool weather control stationary. Even mostly organic. Very og.
