My favorite thing about Gintama is that the author can create an incredible plot full of great and memorable characters and fights, in only 5 episodes, something that takes around 30 episodes in other animes, Gintama is the best shonen of the century. Ps: Gintoki kills people

damn, gintoki and jirocho are both BEAST... i mean those guys they're fighting, the shinra tribe, are guys who's capable of standing toe to toe with the yato clan in a fight.... and they've slain TONS with just the 2 of them.

If you know the important characters, i think you can skip some of the fillers. Yet, I recommend you to watch it from the first episode. The beginning may not be that great, but it's worth it. Tho I saw some people start from infant strife arc

When Jirocho showed up in the series' final arc with his daughter I literally got up and was like "YOOOOOO".
