• Joel Klatt’s top 5 tou... - Спорт
Do you think Ohio State is the toughest place to play in all of college football?
No. We ripped off 5 td’s of 40+ yards last time we played there
I mean, once you get to PSU, OSU, and UM it seems like kind of a wash. All are very difficult road environments.
My biased opinion doesn’t want to recognize OSU as #1 in anything though 😂
@@jamescooper3324 - Still, we hadn’t won there in 20+ years… I’d say that still makes it a tough place to play (as much as I hate to admit it).
@@bv7441 they’re number one in softness 😂 they’re the number one worst team when facing teams with block M’s as their logos 🤣
@@jamescooper3324 - Eh, I try not to get into all of the fanatical hyperbole… UM has been tougher in the trenches the past 3 years and won because of it. I’m hoping that remains true under the new coaching staff.
OSU has purchased a phenomenal roster and has a lot of returning production though. This year will be incredibly tough playing in Columbus. UM can do it if they remain dominant in the trenches though.
Autzen stadium for its size is freakishly loud
Go ducks 🦆
💯👍
Joel, you seem like such a level headed cool cat! Great stadium list, but even better advice at the end there... I've been watching your UA-cam channel for quite some time. Big fan! I also love the enthusiasm in your voice when you talk about spending time with your wife and boys especially when you go to see the ROSE BOWL with them.
I think we need a home and home, LSU and Penn State.
Bro id spend all the money as a PSU to travel to Death Valley for a night game. I want a home and home so freaking bad
Yes yes we do
I agree, as a die hard Nittany Lions 🦁 fan, I respect LSU, and that would be awesome 👌!!! WE ARE
@@kevinchandler179 PENN STATE. LSU is the only team in get jealous over the atmosphere Death Valley looks wild
Buckeye fan here. Completely fair list.
O - H. I - O.
Ohio State fan. That Penn State whiteout is wicked.
Remember the 2018 match-up, and we had a comeback win. Penn State fans chanted, " We are Penn State by half time and Buckeye fans clapped back," We are Ohio State" at the end of the game. Wicked game that was
Some really great advice at the end there
I think you do a great job, Joel, on both your UA-cam channel as well as in broadcasting CFB games. Keep up the great work. Go Utes!! (I know you're a buffalo.)
joel klatt another great show
Univ. Of Utah definitely is in the top 10.
Underrated for sure.
Lmao
Great environment for football. The MUSS is rockin. Who cares about rankings.
K-State’s home field advantage is better than Utah’s. The Utes will find that out soon enough when they come to Manhattan and get waxed
It is also loud for it's size and the MUSS is a great student section!!
Penn state is tough to play at unless you are Ohio State or Michigan 😂
Them night games tough play at penn st tho
Still tough. Even when they win it's almost always a single digit difference.
Michigan can’t say that, OSU can. But it’s still tough.
@@bobbysilver581
If you can run the ball 32 straight times Happy Valley gets real quiet.
😂
@@adirezze4 not quiet enough to allow you to throw, they only stopped throwing it because the pressure got too high. You only do that when you’re limited.
Old school Nebraska, glad to hear Joel say it. He also played at memorial stadium and a Colorado QB so he knows.
Came for the first part of the video, stayed for the second part
Autzen Stadium (Oregon) is definitely a tough environment for opposing offenses.
1. LSU
2. Penn State
3. Florida
4. Auburn
5. Tennessee
6. Texas A&M
7. Oregon
8. Alabama
9. Georgia
10. Washington
Honorable Mentions: Clemson, Texas, Ohio State, FSU
The Swamp is for real!!
Remove Penn State they are only 10-8 in recent white outs and that home record is worse overall.
@@tjoneal79but they also schedule white outs against their best teams. So that’s a pretty good record
WE ARE!!! You can't even hear the person sitting next to you in Happy Valley!!! By far, the loudest stadium 🏟 ever!!@
LSU I totally respect 🙏 it, but Happy Valley is literally a bucket list for college football fans, it's an amazing experience that is second to none!!! WE ARE
Guys, can someone recommend whats the best place to go out of these when it comes to atmosphere and environment? Clemson, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech. Any recs?
Going on a road trip in november and these would all fit that weekend
Washington has awesome environment. It’s like that 12th transfers over from the Seahawks. I lived in the PNW for 2 years.
No mention of UGA, the team with the longest active home winning streak (25 games, last loss in October 2019)?
That’s more of a team thing then a stadium/crowd
Doak Campbell at night got to be up there! And Swamp also
Kinnick night game is top 5 for sure in big ten over Washington
Washington isn’t a good environment at all unless they play Oregon. They don’t even sell out a lot of their other games. Just wait until they lose a couple games this year, 1/3 of the stadium will be empty. Fair weather fan base. Just like USC.
Iowa football needs to play a real team like K-State in the non-conference. They play cupcakes besides Iowa St every single year
@@alexkain8564the conference is loaded, no need to play more p5 games outside of isu
@@KFBALL247tell me you’ve never experienced an apple cup then.
Surprised Georia wasn't on the list of hardest places.
We are in the SEC or we would be there for sure. Go Dawgs
If your Alabama it’s Auburn and LSU, strange things happen in Jordan Hare!
Other than Notre Dame, FSU, and Clemson, what other 3-4, in rank order, do you see as Big Ten expansion teams, and why.
12 is an interesting number. 12 disciples. 12 playoff teams. Etc. Etc.
I am determined to ascertain the 12 teams before the regular season begins. Thus far I'm seeing Michigan, Texas, Washington, Alabama, Clemson, Oregon, Ohio State, Michigan State...
how close do you have lane stadium VT to your top 5
Top 15. I’ve been there and it barely makes the top 5 in the ACC
💯
Clemson Frank Howard Memorial Stadium. (Death Valley)
That's probably one best answers you have ever gave love that taco bell story.
These list always have LSU at the top, rightfully so when you talk to people who have ACTUALLY been to them all these venues for big games and know. It’s the real thing.
That brother Joel Klatt never been to Athens Georgia in his life
Fam, you go into Baton Rouge after 7:30pm, you have a problem.
I don’t know. Are u talking if the team is ranked top
Five and the game matters or u talking if it a 30th ranked team day time. Ohio state is nothing at noon against Rutgers honestly. Utah and Oregon are loud regardless. Washington is awesome if top ten, not so much if not good team even thought the stadium on the water like Wisconsin is amazing to visit. I feel usc Ohio state Michigan all the same, if top ten battle at night it’s great but if having an off season at noon it’s bla. Isc is too big for most games but when they’re rolling it’s palpable against big teams ( I went to the Ohio state at usc game with espn game day and both teams rolling, it was unreal. Also been a few times since and it felt like Miami hurricanes. Alabama is not intimidating in the crowd, the team is intimidating obviously. Etc
Oregon at 2 is surprising
Whiteout in Happy Valley is by far the best environment in college football and Ohio State and the cheaters had earn them victories and Franklin terrible big game decisions 👏!!! Lol 🤣 WE ARE
Wisconsin at Night Halloween weekend
Iowa needs to be top 5 in the big 10
I'd definitely agree with that. It's where top-5 teams go to die.
Occassionally. Theyved had as much success as Purdue. Taking down a top 5 team every 7-10 years on average is not a big deal.
Your coach is overrated big time, I saw they had a coaches pull of the top coaches and he would was ranked number 12 that's a joke. If he wasn't in the Big ten West he wouldn't even a qualified to all the last 3 years. Michigan has won the Big ten the last 3 years and they didn't even play The second best team in the Big ten the last 3 years it was a joke. Michigan Ohio State and Penn State are the three best teams in the Big ten by far up to last year and the records prove it. I don't care that I will beat Penn State a couple years ago big deal Penn State lost or quarterback and had a lead at the time. Your offense sucks. And no top athlete every wants to play there. I watch college football all day and I know what's going on in all the leagues. Watch what happens to Iowa this year when there's no divisions they don't have a chance.
@derrickmarsh50 Since 2008, Iowa is 5-1 at home against top 5 teams.
That's 14 years and who really cares what a dumb answer. Are you trying to say there are an elite team like Michigan and Ohio State and Georgia and Alabama and all these other teams come on. Quit making excuses your offense was the worst in football last year and you know it. Do you really think you're going to have a chance of winning the Big ten ever again never. How stupid quit living in fantasyland Big deal.
When Tech is good, Lane stadium is a very difficult place to play
Imo
1. LSU
2. OSU
3. MICH
4. Georgia
5. Texas.
6. Penn State White out
7. Auburn
8. Arkansas
9. A&M
10. Bama
Lets debate.
No Oregon?
Oregon needs to be on this list. Overall good list though.
Not having Oregon on this list immediately discredits it 😂
Better than half the places you listed at the very least. Arkansas? 😂 gtfoh
michigan might not even be top 25
I would debate if I didn’t feel bad about fighting with a dementia patient 😂 this list ain’t just bad it’s braindead
Stay humble brah.
Joel could you please do a post spring game QB rankings. Maybe a top ten, and please don't overlook Davis Warren of Michigan, nor devalue Arch Manning's performance.
Davis Warren? Lmao. Spring games don’t mean anything . It’s a glorified scrimmage with 1st teamers mixed in with walk ons and 3rd stringers in a lot of occasions. Doesn’t give an accurate representation of what a team or player is going to look like a lot of the time.
@@KFBALL247 Spring games mean something, just not everything. That's like saying sparring doesn't mean anything in combat sports.
As a member of the college football atmosphere committee I’m officially banning you because of this list. 1. LSU 2. Penn st 3. Texas A&M 4. Tennessee 5. Auburn 6. Oregon 7 Utah 8 Florida 9 fsu 10 South Carolina
Texas A&M is not top 4. Auburn too high too. They belong closer to the 10th spot.
@@KFBALL247 Texas A&M I’ve never personally been but when they get up for a game and 120k people are swaying, doing the yells it’s one of the best sites in college football. And I’ve personally been to auburn and it’s the most underrated place to play in college football. It feels like a grave yard and weird stuff just happens there. The fans know that and play into it as well.
A&M is a great environment but to me it’s not rowdy enough to be as intimidating as Tennessee, Auburn, Florida
It’s so funny that u pick all big 10 schools but when a team of the big ten plays in the south they loose
GO DUCKS 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆
lol with Bama at 3.
Sorry - I love this show, but I cannot agree. The #1 toughest place to play in the Big 10 is definitely Northwestern... for Northwestern!! Chicago hosts every other fan base and, for a home stadium, the Northwestern crowd is often drowned out by the visitors!
Husky Stadium made #5 but Washington was absent in Joel’s Top 25 😶
They lost 22 starters lol. Washington fans better get ready for that 6 win season.
Yeah hard to argue lsu
Athens !!!!! cmon on man !!!! Go dawgs!!!! And University of kansas will be playing at arrowhead this year it’s going to be as loud as chiefs games !!!!! Cmon man !!!!
😂
Nebraska is the loudest and best stadium in the Big Ten. I can’t even imagine what it will be like there if they ever get back to prominence.
Big Ten is now the Big Pack
The Big Tent.
Kinnick causes false starts all the time. Night games there are where ranked teams go to die.
Michigan #1 they beat Ohio and Penn St on the road they beat everyone at the Big House case closed. Joel Klatt is a Buckeye apologist
Autzen over the shoe is a total joke. There isn't a more intimidating venue in all of sports than Ohio Stadium - especially for a big game.
wdym? oregons highest db ever recorded is higher then ohio states
Well last time they played, Oregon won in the Shoe. Sooo eep
Michigan? 😂
Don't know how you can put Oregon over Washington.
Because Autzen is a tougher place to play
@@jstrigExcept Oregon got beat by Washington twice last year
Your stadium is not intimidating than Oregon. Accept the fact🤣🤣🤣🤣 AUTZEN STADIUM is 28-1 the last five years. And fuskies just lucky to beat us at home, because Bo Nix got hurt in late 4th quarter.
@@ODUCKSFAN1 He was healthy the whole game Bo Nix just got beat by a better quarterback and a better team
@@alexkain8564 How many of those losses last season were at Autzen? 0.
I don’t hate Penn state but they are so team bronze. They just will always be the little brother in football in the big ten.
As a die hard Nittany Lions 🦁 fan, and a blue blood program, we don't take a back seat to anyone!!!!
@@kevinchandler179 you do every Saturday in the fall. Usually about twice a year. The teams wear maze and blue and scarlet and gray.
😂😂😂😂
Joel I love you, but no SEC is laughably ridiculous. SEC fans are twice as passionate as big ten fans and pac12 fans generally.
03:50 and 04:10
Joel, Penn State never wins a big game at home. Ever. Michigan and Ohio State OWN them in Happy Valley ha ha. They never ever win a big game at home so yeah, super tough place to play ha ha ha.
The last time Penn State played Michigan in a whiteout they won. Then they cheated and won noon games lol.
OSU hasn’t had a whiteout since 2018 either but they own PSU regardless.
Lost a little respect for Klatt here. How is Ohio Stadium or Michigan or ND not in the top 5. World famous stadiums. Oregon? Penn St.? LSU? He’s pandering here.
LSU has always been the arguable number 1. The only one that rivals imo is checkering at Tennessee
Oregon's Autzen Stadium is one of the loudest stadiums in the country.
I too am an OSU fan, but PSU & LSU are most def tougher environments than OSU. This is about difficult environments, not historic stadiums. And I readily admit that our OSU home crowds tend to clench up fairly quickly when we aren’t playing as well as expected vs inferior teams. Now, when it’s a big game and our crowd is ON, it holds up with any CFB environment in the country
~ Just say you're a casual bro.... When every single college football expert, says the same exact thing about Autzen Stadium, maybe it's you that doesn't know as much as you would like to think you do...
@@NIKE-cf3xl I just think he’s pandering to minorities like most of the media does these days.
Joel is a joke
