4:34 It's a technique that's used by some official NES games too, like the Mega Man games, Super Mario Bros 2, and others. To achieve more colors you basically stack two or more sprites on top of each other. The extra color might be its own sprite that's stacked on top.
@@CaptainJack1 I've always been interested in retro gaming hacks/mods, so I finally did a search on UA-cam. definitely appreciate your content man, thank you.
F-FF can be found here forums.nesdev.org/viewtopic.php?p=212598#p212598 its the third attachment, the screenshots for the game are wrong on the post though.
It's sometimes unfair how the tubes work. Tubers with tons of subscribers put out mediocre content while creators with barely any subs put out the better stuff. Found a lot of UA-camrs who put out excellent videos yet no subscribers. However give it some time, let Captain Jack save a life... or three and he shall earn those subscribers.
Your editing style is so good. I can't wait to see my game on the gameboy list.

Oh hells yes. Love me some NES homebrews 🤘🏻
Some quality lookin' games on this list. Nice work!
They are overlapping sprites to get more color. They did that in SMB2 as well.
Thank you so much bro ❤️... Please continue these vids ❤️
just came across your channel, living all the Rom hack and homebrew videos. thank you sir!
Thanks for the supportive comment! Is it all right if I ask how you came across one of my videos? I love knowing how people find my channel!

@@jgsfastf0rd Thank you!
Thank you for this! I’ve gotta check out spacegulls
Your videos feel so professionally funny
"Captain Jack" love it. Sub earned by name alone!!
Aaah one of my dream is to make an homebrew NES game!
Thanks for the video it's s much inspiring :3
Nalleland is such an incredible game! I wish they’d pick it back up and make it longer! Even if some other dev made more levels I’d be so happy!
I have now subscribed!😄
I need NalleLand to be turned into a full game!
100 percent agree! I hope a hacker or the dev picks it back up! It has so much potential! Maybe my favorite homebrew I’ve ever played
Spacegulls maybe second
It reminds me a little of Bubba n Stix for the Genesis - I’m almost certain that was an inspiration for the game.
More about new NES games : ) Amazing :)))
Turtle pirate for the win 😎👍
You should make a video about the Pokémon mystery dungeon games, similar to your star fox video!
Battle Kid is inspired by I wanna be the guy.
Thanks
I have bother versions of Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril. Version 1.000 (so hard it challenges the gods) and version 1.100 (slightly easier).
dude how do you not have more subs, also I cant manage to find F-FF

Battle kid and project blue are both very similar and very hard. But I will say that they’re extremely fair. If you die it’s because you messed up.
“Jennifer dumped me”
The battle kid looks amateurish when you look at the main character. anything that resembles a person looks super bad.
Try my new NES game, it'll put hair on your chest!: t-bone1.itch.io/deth-complex-2/comments
