5:00 beautiful editing, I love this type of transitions between scenes showing a before and after or with and without.
Thanks!
Just got mine yesterday after seeing the thermal performance in this video. Loving it so far. Only thing I don't like is the "sharp" front bevel, but I'm quickly getting used to it. Mine has a tiny amount of backlight bleed. Thermals are beautiful. Got it on sale well within my budget. I bought the 8 GB RAM model and I'm quickly ripping that out to go with 32 GB instead to make it into an affordable workstation. This is my first laptop since 2012 and it's a massive upgrade. Thanks for the review!
I had to take a file to the very corner bits to smooth them out a little, but that edge doesn't really bother me much either. I got mine for under $1000 and I think its a tremendous deal. (and yeah, 32 gb of ram isn't too expensive, especially if the omen was on sale, so getting some REALLY fast ram is a solid idea)
@@TwoTonTaft Yep! I got mine for $999 as well.

Finally the perfect ryzen gaming laptop with good battery life, good screen, good keyboard, good pricing, good everything. Every other ryzen gaming notebooks have atleast 1-2 defects which is a deal breaker. Finally a good work by hp! Also your review is the best jarrod, was just waiting for your review.
i think not good keyboard but ok
Legion 5P is a good alternative choice also. Only deal breaker is all plastic build (quality plastic), warm keyboard temp under load and the weight (2.4kg)

Easy to understand your reviews with related data. ❤️
Hey Jarrod, just a suggestion, when you talk about pricing, can put a graph comparing various similarly spec-ed laptops?
No
The problem is they are always changing and can't always even find prices, hard to maintain.
@@JarrodsTech Maybe just set their price new on average? Btw love your vids I'm planning to save for one so I'm trying to find best value for money.

@@JarrodsTech Thanks for reply, Jarrod. I understand that prices change, but since you always mention that prices vary, it is still informative with a graph...
Legion 5 review when? 😂. Waiting for your final verdict on which to choose between the Legion and the Omen 15...
Waiting for Hardware Unboxed to finish up with it before they send it over.
Waiting for that as well, I'm leaning towards the legion 5 with r7 4800H + 1660ti for its looks but I want to see the comparison first to see what I might be missing out on
@@simkhyleng7360 isn't there's no 1660ti on amd model and just 1650ti?

@@simkhyleng7360 I bought a 5i because there wasnt a legion 5 with those options when my old laptop broke down. I feel a bit cheated.
First they say the Tuf A15 was the best, then Dell G5 SE, then it was the RP-15, then the Legion 5, now the HP Omen lol
I've owned the Tuf A15 and now the HP Omen 15. Omen 15 is def the better of the 2, cooler thermals.
No particular order:
1) Tuf A15: Good hardware for price. External temps are great. Internals are warmer than competition, screen is meh. Everyone laughs at Asus' airflow design, but hey I mean it sorta works, they keep temps relatively in check, right? with repaste the A15 I had (1660ti) avg 75deg GPU and 80 CPU in gaming.
2) Omen 15: a little bit pricier. Thermals are excellent inside and out (KB cool, GPU 68-72, CPU 77-80 gaming w/repaste). Screen is amazing. Audio is great and fans aren't loud. Only missing is numpad and strangely the 2nd m.2 slot is very picky (will not boot up with some nvmes, will with others)
3) RP-15 I hear is great as well but the KB thermals are not so cool (as referenced in your review). I don't like WASDs that are warm, bad experience with MSI having to wipe my hands every 15mins from sweat.
4) Legion 5 isn't available in store locally. I'll take your word it's a top contender.
Dell is just trash IMHO. Ugly chassis, HOT KB and HOT thermals. Dell seems to always have crap thermals in their lineups.
Thanks for your review Jarrod as always. I think the HP Omen is a winner!
Got mine about 3 weeks back and it's lovely to see all these positive reviews popping up everywhere. Got mine with 8gb ram and 512gb ssd for £1100... Already upgraded ram to 20gb though
"Quit a bit of a flex"

I just got the RTX 2060 version and I must say it's pretty awesome. Solid construction (despite the screen), looks discreet without all the lights and aggressive look of gaming laptops. I feel comfortable to use it anywhere. High performance. Strongly recommend
Thank you great review!
Just ordered one off Best Buy last week. Can’t wait for it to get here!
Amazing review as always. But a few questions? Isn’t the screen on the RP-15 better than the Omen 15 in terms of color accuracy or does the diffrence not matter ? And is the response time a clear difference or would I notice it? Because I am planning to buy a laptop for gaming and color editing(video and photo).
Thanks for the thorough review! Definitely keeping an eye out for any good deals on the Omen 15 or Aftershock Vapor 15 in Singapore. Looking to get a new laptop for content creation and light gaming.
You sound a little under the weather in this review. Hope it’s just my imagination but if you are unwell I hope you recover soon! ✊🏽
Price seems higher in SG for some reason :(
Thanks for the great review, have been waiting for it. Your command centre looks different from what I have seen from other reviewers models, could this be because the specs are different or is it because they have another version of the software?

Nice review as always and all in all a good laptop!
I have this model (but with the RGB lighting) and its fantastic. You can tinker with the screen color and sharpness in the Ryzen control center and that helped tremendously. It runs super cool even under load, even though the "load" I used was only Fallout 4 at max settings. You might want to file the corner tips a little bit, because they get pokey as fuck and can scratch you pretty bad if you leave them be
Waiting for this. Thanks👍😀
No problem!

Thanks for the review. How exactly do you get 8 hours? I’m struggling getting 5
It would be really nice to put some eGPU numbers in gaming laptop reviews, with a reasonably comparable Desktop graphics card for the price of the given laptop being reviewed. Just to put it into contrast to what the potential buyer for these could have if he went for a solution that doesn't allow gaming away from home, but does allow portability and more battery of an ultrabook such as the Blade Stealth or an XPS 13.
Makes me feel better about my purchase especially when i got a good deal for it like 2 weeks a go

Just got this laptop and kinda new to the PC gaming scene. Still learning terminology (eg. Display port, thunderbolt 3, etc) so kinda need a little help. From the information (possible misinformation or I didn't understand it properly) having a computer with G-Sync or Free-Sync capability and connecting to same compatible external monitor helps with refresh rate. Since you said this doesn't have an output on either, what kind of external monitor should I be looking for? I don't mean exactly which brand and model but aside from getting something with the same 144hz or higher, what I/O should the monitor have or does it matter?
Even we could not afford to buy in Turkey because of dolar/tl , it’s so excited to watch your review.
