    Hi edric ! Yes, it does take a little practice to get it right, not all ovens are exactly the same, so it's good to try just one as a test, and see the bake time ( time it exactly ) then do the rest after you know how long to bake. A bit tricky, but once you get the time right, they turn out perfectly ! Thanks for watching :-)

    Hi Sara, good luck if you try it, and remember, you can still test it with a wooden skewer, to give you a rough idea if it is over done. I hope you get it right on the first shot... those are very large ramekins so you are using a lot more batter.

  • @BakeLikeAPro
    @BakeLikeAPro  11 років тому

    Hi Natalie, you can get them at most general stores ( in North America that would be Wal-Mart, Target etc ) some grocery stores sell them also. Even "dollar stores" sell them here. If you find some, please let me know, so that others in the UK know of your experience.

    Hi Bake Like A Pro . We made these yesterday using a mini cupcake tin. We trial baked it twice, first at 7mins the other at 6 mins. We overbaked it..lol. the 3rd and last batch me baked still at 6 min but we put the batter in the ref for 15mins..and it turned out great. Our friends who came over loved it..we ate it with vanilla ice cream..AMAZING combo there..thanks for the recipe... from a novicebaker here..

      Hi G family, glad you finally got it under control LOL. A little suggestion, make sure to take note of the exact temp you had your oven set to, and also the baking time, and the time you had them in the fridge... a little Post It note is a great way to go, and stick it somewhere in the kitchen, so that you always have that info handy. The next time you try them, see if you get the same results... if you do, you're good to go.

  • @BakeLikeAPro

    Hi Fasiha, you could use a silicone cupcake molds, these would work very well also. You could even use coffee cups. ( you would not fill the cups very full though ) I have never used a coffee cup, but I'm positive it would work because the inside of the cup is the same sort of material as the ramekins. By the way, you can buy ramekins at most dollar stores today, they are good for this recipe and other things like puddings and very yummy crème brûlée. Thank you for watching my video :-)

    Hi Utubefan5050, thanks for the kind comment ! I appreciate that :-) Yes, you can use a muffing tin instead, this will work perfectly fine also. If you try them, please let me know. I also suggest you try ONE as a test first. Test your baking time in the oven. If it comes out too baked ( not enough liquid chocolate ) then decrease your bake time on the next ones. Metal conducts heat quickly so test first ! I hope this helps and thanks for watching my video :-)

    Hi LiveToRide1616, no, you can eat them cold if you wish, the chocolate will still be fine ( in liquid form ) even when cooled. You will want to test one out in your oven, cool it, and see, so you have the perfect time in your oven so they are still runny inside, but yes to answer your question, it will work out fine. Thanks for watching :-)

    Absolutely perfect. I have tried other recipes but always too dry or over cooked. I dont like too much sugar, so I put 3 table spoons and 2 tbs of butter. Still taste like the best lava cake ever. Oh, by the way I used Valrona chocolate instead of Hersey. I also added 1 tbs of Valrona cocao powder to the mix. Thanks for the recipes.

    response #2. --- So, put the cake in the oven ( only 1 ), now time how long, make sure it is in the oven a shorter time than the ones that were baked too long. Test the cakes at 1 minute interval with wooden stick, if not done enough, keep baking ( you can test the cake with stick without removing cake with oven ). You will get a time which is correct, then keep a note for the future. I hope it turns out better the next time :--) Thank you for watching Sarai.

    Hi jollynyoung, it all depends on how much you love sweets, many would eat them with any type of chocolate, however if you do try them again, try it again with a different chocolate. And not, it's not stupid at all, you tried it, and learned something, this is how we learn, and it's good to have experiences so you know what you can expect in the future. Thank you for watching my video, I hope you try it again one day.
