i feel like his interpretation of why he's doing it is wrong. he says that he spends too much time on League but if she's fine with that and he's very aware of that, then I think it's just that his brain is preoccupied with League all the time. his memory is filled with League related information.
But nobody would ever want to admit to themselves that they became obsessed with League of Legends over their gf, who they say they love and who says they have no problems with how much time they spend playing League. Like it's not that he doesn't have enough time for her, it's that his brain isn't like thinking about her enough.
From what I see, he just feels like he’s too much of a burden himself and doesn’t want Laura to continue being with him if he isn’t able to devote everything to her and their relationship. It is *just my opinion* but I feel like Dantes was mature to step away from the relationship and choose to focus on his career (if all of what he says is a true representation of how he feels).

Dantes is the kind of person that gets REALLY emotionally invested in his games, it feels like he puts his whole being into winning. So you can imagine how much it affects him when he loses. He himself has talked about it and his whole day gets ruined when he loses. He has described it as a family member being brutally killed, he also has said that he just stares at the wall for hours without sleeping after a bad day of league and other things like that. So, having a gf and having bad days in league doesn't work well for him, like AT ALL.

Every online community is full of people who can't/don't get what they want out of their real lives.
