their problem was that they did win shit. the org 100T wanted out of league last year. this year C9 sucked ass at the end and the 100T players made it to worlds. this stopped them from getting the offer that IMT and NRG were given to leave.
I don’t understand this perspective you literally do not know if the teams wanted this or not most likely its a decision by riot due to these regions being relatively low income
@@zweiigorgon8980 I don't think either of us were saying the teams wanted the shift in format. The changes are worse for the team side with less money going to them. Riot was in the driving seat because the 10 year league deal ran out and they got to change it all up. This is why GG/EG/NRG/IMT all left. The monet upfront was more valuable than the revenue they would be bringing in.
The scene was at its peak when big sponsors came in before franchising. Players were getting paid decently, didn’t have to stream to keep the team alive (pay rent and buy food). Once franchising happened, players were playing more than they should be ( imo), no more competitiveness left, some of the games are no better than my gold 5 in OCE
Yet they don't even come close to playing as much as the LCK/LPL, and the joke for a long time was that players where there in NA for a check for a while now.
So they were trash back then and are trash rn (except Fly). Even importing like crazy couldn't save the region. Also 'playing way too much' is such a joke when it's literally their job. Eastern regions play a lot more and as a result they perform a lot better.
More like the orgs started being ran as if they were the LA lakers and getting revenue off a players likeness. Times change and they got sponsors and VC money. They just blew the money with no ROI.
lmao no way you think they were playing more than they should be. as the other pointed out, we play fewer games here than they do in LCK and LPL. it was more that players and orgs got comfortable. the point of franchising was supposed to be using that comfort to develop and not have to worry about losing their spot, but instead the orgs either splashed way too much money on players that offered very little to the league or they coasted.
Videogame. As far as I am concerned, they should be playing 50 and should NOT have have 3 month offseasons. Again, video game. Its mainly NA as a region that is dying, similar to how CS was dying in NA region at the end of CSGO lifecycle cause NA had covid, and the whole debacle inside of it meaning alot of money was going out of NA because there were no longer tournaments. I think its the same here, NA just running out of money.
@@asuraXTCPeople root for SKT because they deserve it. It's called competition. The best team wins.
Perhaps YOU don't understand why people enjoy competitive teams. If you want new teams to win, then they have to PROVE IT. Just like Faker said.
I'm already hyped for matches with Pain.
Wasn’t DSG midtier in NACL?
They won it.
@@MagiRemmie that was last year. they were 7th this year. they absolutely were midtier and it only took a single year for the shine to wear off. riot is trying to get that back now, but it won't matter because after a year they likely get relegated anyways. similar in valorant toast had a lot of interest to begin with, spent tons of money on yay and they failed spectacularly. then he tried to swap to asia because its cheaper to play there than in the US and still failed to win the promotion.
@@rynejones8513I don’t understand what Toast is thinking, isn’t he just losing tons of money left and right for something that isn’t even worth it?
@The_Lightless he probably thought he could get on to the VCT when he bought yay tbf. That was a shock at the time at how poorly it went, but looking back it's happened a lot with him. I don't know how much more revenue they would bring in with VCT but many orgs were trying that first year. TSM and Moist were two big ones. M80 got tons of investment this year only to get beaten by the Brazilian team in the final. It doesn't seem worth it I agree
@@rynejones8513 it’s absolutely not worth, I don’t even understand what his end goal is but whatever it is, I know that he will not make back the money that he has lost along the way, let alone profit.
i watch LCK and i'm in Cali... the Type of matches are better there..... League NA is trash.
i think I stopped watching league when they started copying NBA spots, am i the only who did losed interest in the same time?
Lcs is so shit that they combined with scrub regions lol

I don't watch these anymore but just came to see why 100t left. They're a relatively new team in the big picture of LCS, not a good sign. I don't know anyone who still watches or plays this game
Did you just out yourself as having no friends? 😂
Literally everyone.
100 thieves is leaving because its not profitable. its the same reason GG and NRG have left despite having success. that success doesn't translate into money and it isn't worth investing into the league while viewership continues to decline and the influence of LoL fades. new games will come out that can have esports scenes and get people reinvested into the concept, but this current one does not have a future.
@@rynejones8513I believe this but the problem is that viewership for worlds and stuff is still among the best so at what point are we being foolish and biased and what point is it genuine?
@@The_Lightless when you have a global event yes it will have better viewership. Keep in mind those numbers are likely false in some ways as well. Riot does the drops for worlds for in game rewards. I have 3 different browsers going with my 3 league accounts PLUS my two twitch streams open for costreams. They are counting my single view 5 times and it's intended to be this way, thats why they use drops and costreams.
This is going to bring down the level of skill for NA just sad
???
NA has no skill to begin with 😅
This shit is a joke. Who watches lcs now? 😂
No one. Everyone watches LTA now.
@@Hunedpcl7 Technically only people who will watch LTA will watch LTA
ok so the majority of the players have to be from their home region, yet korea is allowed to have all korean players? seems a bit racist and unfair, riot pls
???
Wtf r u saying
What..
Cashapp 👀
sooo what im seeing is, riot just wants to take away western international slots because they are so shit. Pretty good trade if you ask me
100t dies before the LTA. Calling it now. Bring it on, echo chamber nerds.
Dumb
Boooo
I stopped watching when I heard him say “they’re pretty much saying the split doesn’t matter”. This is why no one wants you on their team 😂😂😂
Because 100T can't even win sh*t
their problem was that they did win shit. the org 100T wanted out of league last year. this year C9 sucked ass at the end and the 100T players made it to worlds. this stopped them from getting the offer that IMT and NRG were given to leave.
First and last LCS team to not make it out of playins at Worlds lol bye bye 100T not gunna miss ya
Now please, get offended by the fact I am being mean about the fact it is a video game and in reality no, nothing like an actual sport that literally outs your body and mind on the line every single day.
don't bring your wallet? that sounds kind of racist...
