- As part of my channel's 6th anniversary special (May 15), here's the sixth elevator chime compilation which covers chimes, beeps and bang from KONE, the 4th largest elevator manufacturer in the world. Enjoy!
Chimes and beeps featured in this video:
• M-Series chimes: Used in almost every KONE installations from the mid 1980s to late 1990s, that comes with M-Series fixtures. Comes with single and two tones. These chimes were also used in some traction, hydraulic and very early MonoSpace MRL installations that comes with either M-Series or Novel Elements fixtures. In Indonesia, these chimes were also used in very few Indolift elevators and the locally-assembled KONE ones.
• Delta/K-Delta chimes: Used in KONE installations with Delta, K-Delta (only found in Asia) and Sigma fixtures from the very late 1990s to mid 2000s. The two-tones down chime sounds very similar to the OTIS 2000 and European Gen2 elevators. In North America, these chimes are used in early KONE installations with Series 220 fixtures.
• KDS chimes: The current chimes used in the current batch of KONE installations in Asia Pacific since the late 2000s. Used in KONE elevators with KDS fixtures (KDS 50, 300 and Design) and possibly KSS 280 as well.
• KSS chimes: Used in KONE installations with all sorts of KSS fixtures such as the KSS 470, 520, 570, etc., including the KSS ReVive series.
• One custom two tones chime from Hong Kong International Airport.
• M-Series, KSS, KDS and KSS 280 button beeps
• One alarm sound from a KONE MonoSpace with KDS 300 fixtures.
Extra BONUS: This compilation also includes a variety of EcoDisc brake clunk noise from various KONE MonoSpace and MiniSpace elevators, including those that are used in Toshiba SPACEL MRLs!

Currently I'm working as Elevator maintenance Site Engineer for Fuji HD (Hengda) in Kuala Lumpur, I'm not just only maintaining Fuji HD, currently I'm maintaining OTIS-Sigma, KONE and Schindler elevators in KL... To be honest, I like KONE elevators because it's simple... Sigma and Schindler requires various scan tools to detect error code... KONE micro-controller is very simple... As far as I know, Sigma and LG are quite similar...
I love the M-series chimes!

Lanterns from KDS (that is, not indicators) use Delta chimes, at least, in AU.

I don't know. Maybe it was configured like that when it was installed.

other models and brands that
use a similar chime too.

The first 1 the crime sound like schindler M series
Eric Henry 196 its a lower pitched Kone m series chime which is rather rare.The fire lift in that building has the regular chime though.The low pitched chime honestly sounds like the 2nd part of a regular m series chime and then a lower pitch.
The low pitched chime actually sounds a bit like the Schindler M-Series classic chime (not the NZ one)
Why there are some booms as chimes?
They're not actually chimes. They're just motor brake noise that I've added to the video as a bonus (kind of random stuff)

Because Toshiba is related with Toshiba as they had a strategic alliance since 1998; Toshiba partnered with KONE to develop its own MRL elevator product called SPACEL which was licensed by KONE with the KONE EcoDisc motor.

That particular video is just a very short and poor take which was not very worth enough to be uploaded separately. Why? A bunch of people board the elevator on the 1st floor which forced me to stop the video and have to start all over again with my smartphone.
