Just tried to play the game after 3 days of waiting and found that none of my controls were working. After watching this video I'm either going to wait for a patch or just leave it, can't be doing with all this nonsense
6:35 The reason it wasnt cleared was because you only cleared the general controls profile and not the aircraft controls profiles. if you clear both the profiles you would have gotten a clear profile.
Did not work for me. Even clearing both "General" and "Airplane" controls, the bindings will indeed disappear, but as soon as I reload another flight all the bindings are back. This is only (so far) with an Xbox controller I use on my PC for cameras and moving around. It's a duplicate, of course, and I've tried making it default, applying to all planes, etc. Nothing has worked. Frustrating as hell as using that to jump in and out of camera modes (in VR) gets a lot of use in my setup. Any suggestions? Very likely user error, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Very well done. Like anything, people do not like change. This was NOT an update but a whole new platform to accommodate 2024 and beyond. At least you got it loaded and running. I am going to wait a week or so. I purchased a new hard drive and it will arrive in 4 days, so good timing! !! !!!
What is the meaning of the little circled number that pops up next to the keybinding once it's scanned? Is it perhaps the number of other bindings to this key? This video was well organized and explained. Thank you! Yes, it's all new, but as a retired systems designer, I appreciate why they had to revamp the whole thing. You could read all the complaining comments below for when 2020 came out.

6:50 this whole page hasnt been accessible on my xbox. Like i can view it but cant find my cursor anywhere on the page to adjust sensitivity curves 🙁. Also the game crashes alot. Hopefully things smoothout soon. Thanks
Tried setting airbus thrustmaster to be used for 4 engines,3 sensitivity curves are fine,the ,4th keeps resetting,typing it manual will drive you insane,it resets to default,rounds up or down or just deletes what you're typing as a value,what a mess
Opened the sim this morning, only to find that ASOBO had reset ALL of my settings. (We've seen this before in 2020) Spent 30min putting everything back, and what worked for me yesterday performance wise, didn't work today. Complete stutter show! I am appalled.
I can't get my T-Pendular rudder pedals to work. I have disabled all of auto assist crap. On external view the rudder will intermittingly try to deflect but it goes back to the center............
So I don’t know if it’s a in game problem to fix but when I try binding my controls for my hotas the game will not recognize any input and other times it will and I’m really stumped here because I’ve been looking at countless videos to try and fix this so I don’t know anymore

Nice one - Just a question - Next to some assignments there is sometimes a white bubble with numbers in them (1, 2 3, ...) - Any idea what they correspond to ? I think it means that key has already been assigned X times ... ? What is it ?
Helpful video! One question I have is how to select a keybind from a dropdown menu instead of scanning. For example with my throttle quadrant, the sim does not detect the throttle axis correctly when scanning and I couldn't find a place to select it in the dropdown menu of all buttons and axis's like in 2020. Do you know a fix for this?
Select Thottle. On your screen at the very far right you will see a gear icon. Click on it, on the far left of your screen you will be able to select what button or axis you want to use for your throttle.
I can’t get key binding to work with Xbox controller & Xbox Series X. I’ve changed the controls to specific commands (up/down trim & spoiler activation) & it doesn’t work when operating in free flight. Extremely frustrating!!!
Why there some inputs marked as analog and others as digital? Whats the difference? Half my cockpit look cameras are marked as analog, and the other half as digital, the keybindings marked as digital works, the analog ones dont and I cant fix it! I delete and remake the bindings, still dont work! QA for this game have been VERY POOR!

On my velocity one i change controller settings how i want exited the game opened game velocity one controls did not save waste of time dont know if i did something wrong or what. (I saved profile before exiting)
@@BluGames Thanks for all you do but we also need an xbox configuration for the alpha xpc and the bravo since msfs2024 as it as 1 unit. The xbox community would welcome that since there’s nothing online. It’s a mess in msfs2024.
Yeah, good video. There are also some other features such as when the same setting is assigned to multiple purposes, and how to then manage each individual setting. My current issue is with something very basic (in free flight) which is, how to get into the cockpit of non-standard planes. You see how in the stock aircraft you click on the door handle and you hop in and back out.
I like the new setup…much more versatile! Like anything new you have to figure out the concept and learn it. Very easy once you put the kearning part first, then create your profiles as needed.
Ok so planes are easy to set up but helicopters are a nightmare, my planes fly fine but my helicopters have no settings. would you please do a video on just what helicopter bindings should be used cause it's so much stuff in there it feels hopeless, but I can't fly my helicopters in 2024

I have wasted hours on the same issue. All I want is for ALL my cameras and flight controls to act the same way. (Move mouse/joystick towards me - view/plane goes up, and the opposite when I move it away from me). So far, nothing I have tried works. Why this isn't default in a flight sim is beyond me.
what 😳 ???? wtf, I have a lot of different joysticks, rudders, throttles, some on a rig, some on a desk. In msfs2020 all no problem, all saved in a cloud, synchronized automatically. Here I must all start all from new, hundreds of keybindings, full individual. Why the hell is there no possibility to import the settings from MSFS 2020 to 2024 ? special when the games just working over the same gamertag in the msfs store. I see absolutely no advantage in this totaly new way of making the keybindings. Ok, when you just play the game on a xbox with one controller, than maybe yes. Seems that the idea of developing this game was - just to play on a xbox only…🤦♂️
Hover over the keybind you want to delete wither mouse till it highlighted. Then press backspace. The whole menu system and logic behind it is completely messed up. They need to completely revamp the already new game.

i pre ordered the premium and could not get the controller to work with the sim, windows showed the joystick was connected and working fine, MS flight sim showed that the primary flight surfaces were bound to the controller after i had to bind them myself, took me a couple of hours to figure out how to set up the controller and then not have it work, so i asked steam for a refund, the 200 bucks showed up a couple of hours after i asked for my money back, steam is awesome this way. I was really looking forward to this sim so much I spent just over 4 grand on a gaming rig pretty much for this game and i can not under stand why they made setting up the joystick so complicated to the point it failed the product and i ditched the game. I hope their future products will make the setup automatic for basic flight controllers.
You all know that dedicated Simmers don't really care about the actual flying....We like the torture and pain of finding key bindings and file swapping from community folders and 3rd party apps...
My HOTAS 1 joystick is reversed pitch up goes down pitch down goes up Same for the throttle I guess I have to wait for a patch It's so sad we can not load all our profiles settings Pain in the butt Very disappointed so far Feel like putting it down and try again after new year😢
The controls naming and setup for this game is so incredibly stupid it's insane. Simple is best always. just because it's about flight, doesn't mean you have to be an engineer to figure it out am I right?
I'll be using Spad.nxt. I can't be bothered with all this. Why mess with a system that's already established. My MSFS24 is still very unstable. Anything more complicated than a Cessna and it CTDs or locks my system up. I can't even work out how to go to an external view I'll be staying with MSFS20 for a bit. Looks like Microsoft has recruited a load of staff from Dovetail. Great potential let down by the execution
I felt the same way, figured I’d wait for the bugs to be ironed out. But now I’m having connectivity issues with 2020. Every time i fly i receive a low broadband message and I’m thrown offline. It’s almost as if Asobo is using the same servers both platforms. Ugh…..so frustrating.

Yes its the number of bindings to that key. Press the gear icon on the right of it, and you will see which actions are assigned.
It means that there are “Assignment” conflicts with the key or button in question.
Can I have some help because I have my thrustmaster joystick equipped and whenever I’m taking of,the nose wheel juts turns and I can’t control it

Aircraft specific controls would be things like the 'tail hook' for the F18, or lowering the pontoons, toggle water rudder... things like that.

Engines keep shutting off shortly after take off only for the jets prop planes are good. I don’t have the same key binds linked 🤦🏽♂️

When I use my "take control of character" bind during the walk around it never does anything. Anyone know what I can do??

I have a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X and I had to invert the axis because the default settings were inverted.

I believe Default sets the profile to only the plane you are editing, while apply to all does what it it says...
What’s with the analog digital?
I set my custom views and it literally is saving to every plane so the views are all fd up..ugh what a pain
Only work around i have found is sadly to restart the game before making new camera views in each planes.. obviously not ideal

Clearing did work. You cleared the general controls and what was listed after were all Airplanes controls which you did not clear.

Damn, msfs 2024 control settings are atrocious. This makes DCS / Elite a walk in the park.
