maximiliano zamorategui: With the quickness. It is a crying shame that WAR is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I love the Lowrider Band with the four (4) original band members who are Howard SCOTT, B.B. Dickerson, Harold Brown, and Lee Oskar. War is not the same band without these guys, period. Dig.

Morris BB Dickerson was a very good friend of mine 🎶🎵 back in the 1970's & 1980's. We used to chill, laugh, get stoned & have a good time. He had my back a couple times when I needed help. I even had his back once, much to his surprise. He told me I was not you average female. My honesty floored him.
RIP my brother ❤ I pray your resting comfortably in Our Father's Arms, waiting to put in a good word for me when I get there.
This 🌎 lost a very talented, very good man.
I miss you & the good old days. 😪

Wow!! So Many Memories.. The World Is A Ghetto, First album I ever bought.. I was also fortunate enough to see these guys live, with all the Original members three times... They really put on a helluva show... Will never, ever.. forget.

I'm really glad Mr. Lincoln did this interview. I am passionate about funk/soul/Latin bass, and it was probably B.B. Dickerson that was one of the strongest influences on me becoming a bass player. Probably someone should have mentioned Santana for being part of the wave of integration of Latin into rock. I'm sure there was some cross-pollinating there somewhere.

They will.always be War to me..I'm a 70's baby..Heard my Dad and Uncles jam plenty of their records back then.. I was fortunate enough to see them live at a little hole in the wall called Grant Street dancehall in Lafayette Louisiana in the late 90s.. they blew the roof off that building and sung their souls out that night.. None of my friends would come with me, they had no clue on what was about to go down.. But I went and had a blast.. I had to be the youngest guy in there that nite... the people who were in there were very cool and down-to-earth.. And they were all so very different.... Didn't have a car at the time so I walked back to the college campus after the show.. but boy was I on a natural high the whole way home.. LOL

Would have been great if Eric Burdon could have been in this. I wonder what the circumstances were for why he left the band. Was it amicable?
