♡ So refreshing 😌 THANK YOU for keeping it real. We need more of you on here! Sometimes I watch some of these people talking about plants like they know it all and so matter-of-fact but yet their plants look worse than mine! Lol 🤔 I didn't know you designed jewelry I just noticed how nice and simple yours is! Love your vibe so much! ♡
Would love to see you doing an in-depth of pests care for your plants! Your plant room is the best I’ve seen anywhere, you don’t just buy plants you look at them as decor like pieces of art! So stunning! 😍 any plant video you make Im just so excited for!
Hi, Love your plant contents. FYI with the anthurium inflorescence, it starts out with female (sticky liquid) then male. Its not too late to collect the clarinuervium pollen as its still on female stage. Happy planting. 💚
Great video Christine, love it! Especially like it when you talk about the problems, and showing your rehab process! I'm so glad you're doing more plant videos! Looking forward to your end of summer plant tour. Pollination in clarinervium is so easy, I did it and got the seeds and the baby seedlings are growing slowly but surly! You should try it too. Thanks very much for sharing and happy growing 😀!
Thanks Mary! End of summer plant tour coming soon! Pollinating Aroids sounds awesome, I can't wait to get started. Thank you so much for the encouragement, I'm absolutely loving the plant community and doing plant content! 😌🙏🌱
Great video! I love your plants! I am working on developing my green thumb and think that plants can add so much life and color to a space. I have a dog and cat and sometimes struggle to find plants that aren’t toxic to animals. I would love a video on pet-safe plants and how to care for them!
I have some built in shelving that would make a perfect plant wall. Only thing is, it's away from natural light. (1) Do you have any favorite super low light plants that do well? (2) Do you know of any battery powered lighting that could tuck away under shelves (they are like 6 inches deep)
Hi Marjorie! Most of my plants require medium to bright indirect light. Typically plants that are referred to as "low light" will still need some light to grow and thrive. I've haven't tried any battery powered grow lights but there are light bars/strips that can tuck under shelving, as long as there's enough space between the plant and the grow light, to avoid bleaching or burning. Grow lights are amazing though and there are a variety of styles to make a space work. Floor lamps with grow light bulbs in them, clip-on lights, pendant lights, track lighting. Amazon is awesome for checking out different ideas for lighting options. I'll do a video on lighting soon. 👍
I’m so glad you got a good deal on your beautiful plants! Just please be careful on Etsy ordering from sellers without reviews and only a few sales. There were about 6 different sites that were listing other sellers photos of plants. I was told it may be the same person scamming buyers. Last time I checked 2 sites are still up and “selling “ with no intention to send out anything. 😳
I absolutely love your plant room! What does your humidity stay at and do any of your of your tropicals stuggle if any? I live in NM so I'm wondering if I have to keep my Anthurium in a cabinet or if I can acclimate to room humidity with a humidifier? Thanks.
Hi Kristine So happy to see you well and beautiful Most importantly still positivity Last time you were hoarding makeup Hope you aren’t hoarding plants now lol Joking only pls forgive me Nic
I'm a real orchid lover and have lots but want to venture into these beautiful plants too...can't believe the prices on ebay (etsy shipping from indonesia super expensive too)!! But they are beautiful. Can I ask Christine which is the plant with the super long stripy stems...I really like those as they look so exotic. Thank you....always love your posts. Thank you for the vegan make up up date collection :-)
The prices on the Indonesian imports are insane! Each of those are usually like $150 right? And the Batik they gave you is an expensive plant too isn't it. I've been terrified to even order plants online from within the US much less Indonesia but this is making me think about it. What is the company you got these from? Thanks.
How do you acclimate them ? I have few anthuriums and philodendrons coming next month. I don’t have a grow tent or greenhouse. My humidifier is on all day and humidity is only 40-45%.
I have a philodendron vine that may have root rot. Looking forward to learning more about that! Also, I have a small fiddle leaf fig. I don’t think you have one of these, but who/what is a good source to learn more about them?
Thanks Erica! For the philodendron, if we suspect root rot, unpot and check the roots and stem for signs of rot. Rotted roots can be dark, mushy or soft, spongy, stringy, translucent when wet, etc. Overall they won't look healthy. Cut off any rot, so only clean healthy roots/plant tissue will be left. You could also take cuttings as insurance, in case a plant gets a root rot and isn't able to recover. I hope that helps for now, I'll get that root rot video up soon. For the fiddle leaf fig, I've heard they love plenty of bright light, I think Amanda from Planterina grows them well, she always has great tips.
New sub here and I’ve been binging you (which is great bc on the mend from mouth surgery and SO is quarantining so lots of downtime)! I’m up in Phoenix, but do you have any little plant shops you recommend in Tucson? Always looking for a reason to get outta town and I haven’t been down there in ages!
I'm from indonesia..my place near raja 4..,do you'll know about alocasia lauterbachiana silver..,?..they call it keris papua(becouse the shape of the leaf
Why don't you open a plant store or nursery instead of having 500 plants in your house. A few is nice, but this seems like overkill/obsessive. Do you plan on travelling again? If so, you'll have to pay someone well to take care of that forest.
Wow! My fri night vibes with a new video from Christine !! ☺️☺️☺️

I am terrible with plants. Would you consider doing a beginner basics video for succulents or snake plants?

I am known for killing plants in my family. I wish I had a green thumb. I'd have a garden by now.
You don't seem to care about your audience. Who is your supplier. Frustrating
