When you sing with your hands, playing the piano at the same time is a bit problematic. The piano more of a prop than anything. Also I do appreciate the insertion of the Batman run into the piece...

Seen pretty much all of her live shows on UA-cam, can't get enough. Finally saw her live in Oslo in October 2019. Best concert I've ever been to. She's just amazing live. Not only is her band stellar and they come off as family, but Aurora fills the entire venue with truly radioactive energy. I've never seen Sentrum Scene literally filled to the brim with such energy and colour. Incredible to watch her live on UA-cam or TV, but watching her live, oh man.

To really understand aurora you have to look at her childhood,picture the lakes and forests of Norway as her playground and you can see how nature(Mother Earth) is so important to her and then add in the fact that as a child growing up her family never had a TV or radio,only an record player where she listened to Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohan both great wordsmiths in the art of music,it's then you can start to understand what makes this girl become the amazing artist she is today,and to think at the age of 6 she found an old Brocken piano and taught herself to play without being able to read music is astonishing,to then at the age of 9 write a song called Lucky which you must listen to its a masterpiece and by the age of 16 have enough songs for her first album.(all my demons greeting as a friend )WOW! She is so special,for me she is a GENIUS .As a lover of music all of my life, like most of you we all have at times enjoyed certain artists,the reasons for this can be many fold,but I can honestly say that at this moment in my journey no one has touched my emotions or moved me like this young artist from Norway and there is a reason for her to have a huge fan base all over the world. She is such a great songwriter, singer and performer - for me there is a unique quality to her voice and the way she expresses her feelings in every word she sings is a quality that not many singers have She is not mainstream as she has created her own genre, and therefore she is not topping any charts. Everything you said is exactly my sentiment as well! She is absolutely hypnotic and apparently the hand gestures are indeed her "thing" and people commented on a video where she couldn't use her hands and kept sort of doing it out of habit anyway. Lol I cannot believe how she transforms this song into some sort of incredible holy experience. And she only had an hour to prepare? Wow. It is hard to believe anyone could hear this and not want to immediately go dancing in the moonlight with Aurora. Heh

She is within the music. She IS her music. Her body and voice, facials, and playing is all music you can see that. All performances are like this. I understand you’re stop and start to speak but if you are just experiencing her performance, the entirety of her makes sense.

And yes, the arm flourishes are very much a signature of hers. She’s also a dancer so the arm movements come out a lot in her live performances. You can really see her move in the Haik concert.

you are exactly right, there is a documentary of her and concert created for her called "Haik". She is wonderfully authentic and a pure soul. That can be found on UA-cam and worth the watch.
One of the best female voices I have heard in a long time is Eivor. She has such a variety of sounds she is able to create... mind blowing. I recommend either Falling Free or Trøllabundin. They are completely different but both amazing.
She arranged this cover in one hour. Just FYI. As for the movements, it's her method of releasing tension, and it's probably subconscious at this point.

Yes, she is produced very professionally and pushing into this new spanish-english pop, but she has a much wider versatility in her voice to offer. She started singing with flamenco, has arabic, gypsy and catalan aspects all that in a variety from classic and folk to HipHop combined with modern effects. An amazing new spectrum of sound...Yes, she uses in some performances autotune-live-plugins but not to correct her voice, instead to extend her variety with effects that you hear very obviously, so no cheating (as you can hear at her various live sessions)! Very precious voice with an expressionism that injects emotions beyond language barriers. Goosebumps guaranteed! To really understand aurora you have to look at her childhood,picture the lakes and forests of Norway as her playground and you can see how nature(Mother Earth) is so important to her and then add in the fact that as a child growing up her family never had a TV or radio,only an record player where she listened to Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohan both great wordsmiths in the art of music,it's then you can start to understand what makes this girl become the amazing artist she is today,and to think at the age of 6 she found an old Brocken piano and taught herself to play without being able to read music is astonishing,to then at the age of 9 write a song called Lucky which you must listen to its a masterpiece and by the age of 16 have enough songs for her first album.(all my demons greeting as a friend )WOW! She is so special,for me she is a GENIUS .As a lover of music all of my life, like most of you we all have at times enjoyed certain artists,the reasons for this can be many fold,but I can honestly say that at this moment in my journey no one has touched my emotions or moved me like this young artist from Norway and there is a reason for her to have a huge fan base all over the world. She is such a great songwriter, singer and performer - for me there is a unique quality to her voice and the way she expresses her feelings in every word she sings is a quality that not many singers have She is not mainstream as she has created her own genre, and therefore she is not topping any charts. But that is not what aurora is about she has never craved for that she is a child of the earth and so grounded in what she believes in .So for me a musical journey with Aurora is a journey with meaningful lyrics and comforting vocals that makes you ask yourself questions and think more deeply about the kind of world we want to live in,for someone so young to write and produce songs plus produce all her own videos is outstanding.yes Aurora is a Genius

Everything you said is exactly my sentiment as well! She is absolutely hypnotic and apparently the hand gestures are indeed her "thing" and people commented on a video where she couldn't use her hands and kept sort of doing it out of habit anyway. Lol I cannot believe how she transforms this song into some sort of incredible holy experience. And she only had an hour to prepare? Wow. It is hard to believe anyone could hear this and not want to immediately go dancing in the moonlight with Aurora. Heh

Her movements are one of the many important elements which make me love her.
At the end it really is like she realizes that she's not alone, she gets so easily and naturally into the flow state in her music. It happens a lot too, in many of her live videos, not just this one.

She is within the music. She IS her music. Her body and voice, facials, and playing is all music you can see that. All performances are like this. I understand you’re stop and start to speak but if you are just experiencing her performance, the entirety of her makes sense.

Would love you to react to one of Aurora’s original songs! She’s a really great lyricist too! I’d suggest anything from the Haik concert (my favourites are All Is Soft Inside and The Seed).
And yes, the arm flourishes are very much a signature of hers. She’s also a dancer so the arm movements come out a lot in her live performances. You can really see her move in the Haik concert.

Yes, she is produced very professionally and pushing into this new spanish-english pop, but she has a much wider versatility in her voice to offer. She started singing with flamenco, has arabic, gypsy and catalan aspects all that in a variety from classic and folk to HipHop combined with modern effects. An amazing new spectrum of sound...Yes, she uses in some performances autotune-live-plugins but not to correct her voice, instead to extend her variety with effects that you hear very obviously, so no cheating (as you can hear at her various live sessions)! Very precious voice with an expressionism that injects emotions beyond language barriers. Goosebumps guaranteed! Here an example of here voice and a virtuous guitar play...
