The hedgehog looks a bit sick (maybe ticks) or had some accident. The best way to feed it is to give cat's wet food with liver and fresh water. We helped last autumn two super tiny hedgehog babies to get big enough for hibernation 🦔🦔

I'm slowly catching up on the vlogs since starting at the first and watching in order. Every now and again I dip into the later ones and this one is really great. Dan's video, supurb, he'll do well with his vlogs. Salmar and Philip are showing their even gentler sides caring for the little hedgehog and as for the asparagus presentation, lucky Stephanie. I think my husband has been inspired to do the same. Well one can always wish.............

Theresa Romero, you write with a wonderful fluidity and use of words, expressed in an eloquent and expressive manner. I hope you are a writer. In relation, I think that is what draws us all to Stephanie Jarvis. She speaks confidently and gets out all she wishes to say with ease. She is not slow, stumbling and pokey which is very irritating for the listener. You can almost see the slow motion clock movement of the slow brains of some not so good at speaking on video. Public speakers need to be able to think more quickly than they speak and spit it out while keeping an audience captivated. It is very difficult to do but she is so good at it, we don't notice how bad it could be until we watch someone plodding along, saying trite, predictable things. Michael Potts and Oliver are also very clever, quick-witted and entertaining. The Chateau Diaries have been a Godsend to us.

Selmar you can feed hedgehogs wet cat food too (not fishy though) and perhaps crush the doggie biscuits up a bit . You are so sweet and kind looking after all the animals, you have such a lovely nature and wonderful talents xx
I was so touched to see two men taking such gentle care of the sweet little hedgehog. I hope he is okay and maybe makes a repeat appearance at some point. It's so exciting with all of the work getting done on jobs like the chapel and the terrace. The part that made me laugh the hardest was Dan's video about the asparagus (1 only). It was brilliant!

Okay Dan's video was hysterical, can you ask him about rerouting roses and or flowers from a bouquet if you can just actually put it in the ground and it will grow or if you root it first in water?
Paulette just cut into 5 inch stick remove all foliage off stem, cut the bottom at an angle dip in rooting powder.... (I don’t personally) Put into a very dandy compost dampen and leave .... I do this with all my rose cuttings in March or November, I just put in the soil, so far I’ve 30 rose bushes from last yrs cuttings snd have another 30 from this year 😊 I’m running out of room!! 😮

Just another atypical day at the Chateau....The All Creatures Great and Small Hedgehog Rescue, the Giant Asparagus Harvest (brilliant Dan! The clippers looked like an animated steel chicken ready to bite into the stalk!), then Lunch Served On A Tray with a Candle and Wine (nice eye for detail Philip!) , and the Restoration on Many Fronts Progress... highly entertaining. I live in Texas and I can tell you my day was not anything remotely like this. Cheers!
Just watched could Selmar build some hedgehog houses in the cool corners of the garden or in the grounds so the hedgehogs have somewhere to go during the day.there easy to build and you have lots of lovely wood 🙂 lots of gardens here in Norfolk UK have them . Hope the hedgehog is ok . Loved tonight's vlog and all the work that us going on . Thank you for sharing

Okay Dan's video was hysterical, can you ask him about rerouting roses and or flowers from a bouquet if you can just actually put it in the ground and it will grow or if you root it first in water?
Paulette just cut into 5 inch stick remove all foliage off stem, cut the bottom at an angle dip in rooting powder.... (I don’t personally)
Put into a very dandy compost dampen and leave .... I do this with all my rose cuttings in March or November, I just put in the soil, so far I’ve 30 rose bushes from last yrs cuttings snd have another 30 from this year 😊 I’m running out of room!! 😮
Most roses are grown by grafting - if you take a cutting it may grow but might revert to the graft rootstock - which may be a different type of rose.

Just another atypical day at the Chateau....The All Creatures Great and Small Hedgehog Rescue, the Giant Asparagus Harvest (brilliant Dan! The clippers looked like an animated steel chicken ready to bite into the stalk!), then Lunch Served On A Tray with a Candle and Wine (nice eye for detail Philip!) , and the Restoration on Many Fronts Progress... highly entertaining. I live in Texas and I can tell you my day was not anything remotely like this. Cheers!

Just watched could Selmar build some hedgehog houses in the cool corners of the garden or in the grounds so the hedgehogs have somewhere to go during the day.there easy to build and you have lots of lovely wood 🙂 lots of gardens here in Norfolk UK have them . Hope the hedgehog is ok . Loved tonight's vlog and all the work that us going on . Thank you for sharing

Love asparagus. Started sauteeing it instead of boiling it and eating it a bit el dante. So good. I use Montreal Steak Seasoning and olive oil.
Nice sauted in I've oil oil and lemon juice and finished with patmasan and bread crumbs. Voila! 🇨🇦👍
@@teresadopeysmum3268 that's exactly how I have mine, but I also add in some browned butter, kosher salt & a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. So divine.
