I was part of a small group of content creators who had the opportunity to play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League before the Alpha Tech Tech, working with Rocksteady & Warner Bros Games to provide feedback on the game.
I have also visited Rocksteady Studio to play the preview of the game.

I like open world games where you can fly around. In most games you just run around in a massive world. This is better more traversal. The gunplay is cool as well. Looking forward to it.

I wasn't convinced about the suicide squad game until I watched this video. this is what I wanted an unedited video showing gameplay and in-game dialog. I would probably buy the game.

starting to notice that the dialogue overlaps frequently. could be a problem on release.
I hope it's just a bug because it was sometimes like that in alpha but not often. Maybe it's fixed in the release

Some of the finer details like the character animations are spectacular. Best looking character animations I've seen outside of a Capcom Street Fighter game.
This gives me huge Sunset Overdrive vibes...which is totally not what I expected. But I loved that game so good I guess lol

I’m actually looking forward to this, feels like it’s getting a lot of hate. As long as it’s fun for whoever plays it then that’s all that matters. Getting the $100 version on Xbox to play early.

I’m not gonna lie, hearing Edward announcing his riddles out loud is kinda nice after so long.
At this point all I care about is if the gameplay is rock solid and fluid. Who cares if they’re using guns, it’s a video game. Is it fun? Does it play well and do I like the art design? Honestly if they want to generate positive PR they should release a playable demo.
That would be cool. For me it looks fun. I don't care about the universe or story that much. I like that you are flying around most of the time and the city is built for that.
If they want to do anything to sell this game to an extremely skeptical audience on a genre that has an extremely piss poor reputation at this point, a gameplay demo that lets you play a relatively early section with a decent selection of abilities, would actually be a good idea. I don't think there's much else they could do to convince people it's worth the full $70 at this point, so they'd best get creative or it will be DOA.
@@RokushoTheRavager Absolutely my point here. If they are so convinced that the gameplay is great then I see no reason why they wouldn't want to let as many people as possible put their hands on it. A lot of people that will be interested in this game are the same people that got burned by Avengers and are NOT interested in repeating that mistake.
@@filthyrando3632 Completely agree. You know what sold me on both inFAMOUS & inFAMOUS 2? Their demos. The demo for 2, I would argue is one of the best demos I've ever played. They don't start you off at the VERY beginning, they start you off just after Empire City gets wiped out when you first enter New Marais, giving you a decent amount of abilities to try out. You get a new one when you acquire a blast core that allows you to toss objects through telekinesis, then it flashes forward a bit and now you're evil using red lighting with some different abilities. Completely sold me on the game, that's how you make a freaking demo!
Actually now that I think about it, I also ending up purchasing DmC: Devil May Cry despite the backlash, solely because of the demo. I swear I must've played through it like 12 different times because the combat was so fun and engaging, plus they give you a decent bit to chew on. You get to play Ch 4. Under Watch which is after you've alfeady acquired both Demon & Angel weapons (Arbiter & Osiris) and you get to play Ch 6. Secret Ingredient, which is a boss fight. As a result I bought a copy for $40 and it ended being one of my favorite PS3 games and hack & slash action titles. The story isn't great, but I don't care because the core gameplay is extremely fun.
With Suicide Squad I think it desperately needs a demo or it's simply not going to sell well because just seeing gameplay, isn't doing enough to sell the audience. Either way, I will say this, if they have any hope of this game even having a chance at doing well, it better actually work at launch. If it comes out busted, glitchy, and unfinished, there's no chance it does well at all. Marvels Avengers had a Beta that was busted as hell 1 month before launch and that did it absolutely no favors whatsoever, it just turned people off. So far I haven't seen any issues with Suicide Squad's performance and haven't heard anyone mentioning it, so that may not even be an issue come launch, but it's not a guarantee.

Quick rant: the gameplay looks terrible it’s like Gotham Knights 2.0 and the combat is so stiff and annoying to watch. Batman Arkham asylum looks way better nobody would care if they copy and paste Arkham Asylum gameplay in this game. Suicide squad are not funny in Batman Arkham Knight the riddler is more funny. This just looks like they’re trying a Gotham Knights type of game in the Arkham verse what made the Arkham games so special was playing a character who had no superpowers and didn’t use guns. Now damn near the whole cast has jet packs and guns Harley and dead shot gets a pass but king shark really he needs a gun why? King shark’s strength only should be good and captain boomerang is useless so I guess he gets a pass to. It’s just so disappointing because I know rocksteady can do better.
People want brainless crap like this, no one wants to think and apply anymore.
I like what I see, maybe people/ reviewers who can't play that good hate on it! But! this is looking great, to me!
Im probably nowhere close to being a good gamer but I do like watching people who know what they are doing since the vids usually help me when i get stuck. Then i feel stupid for missing something so obvious.
I am definitely maining Deadshot first.
Can’t lie this actually looks fun like what I was expecting hopefully much in store far as powers, some type of raids and dope loot. Just follow the formula of the borderlands series. Three was fun but should’ve had more content

I don't wanna be negative, but where is fun everyone is talking about? It's just some type of purple thing you are shooting and travelling around the empty map. Even the story is going to be good i can't wrap my head around bearing with this junky mechanics that has been around 10 years ago in all types of games to enjoy the story!

They do and they have a multiversus mode with different dimensions and worlds (and sadly riddler trophy’s)
Thinking about maining Deadshot, but looks like he doesn’t stay in flight that long. Maybe there are skills in his talent tree or gear perks that make him stay in flight longer.

Still not sure why they have gone full Fortnite style. Wish it would be darker, the story seems good. While I still might get the game due to it's story and hope to addapt to all the flashy run and gun. We'll see.....

Hi, this is My First Time on your channel, first and foremost your editing was really well done in order for us viewers to see how each member of the group played ( mostly their way of " moving " ).
I will admit i am not player who play Shooters/Looters or Games service ( i played some Marvel Avengers and found the Gameplay was somewhat enjoyable, played it solo for hours but was not interested in the Story as i am more of a DC Fan ).
Your video showcased one of my thought which is to defend or attack an area, very much what Marvel Avengers did if i understood correctly what was going on.
I have never been interested in the Game before a few months ago, as they showcased the Narrative Aspect of the Game which i liked so it is a mixbag personally but i am interested in knowing more ( i have no doubt although i have never been into Multi Player this Game is meant to play with friends and is certainly bettef this way ? I have always been Solo )

Yes there are. People were complaining and worried if there were, but people very sparingly show them, just due to its not very efficient to use while being shot at. But the melee and combat in general from what I heard from my friend is very fun and satisfying
Ngl the gameplay looks like it will be a lot of fun, and the map and character designs look fantastic too.
Still bummed it’s a live service game, plus the default HUD is horrible to look at as there’s too much happening on screen, literally covering it at times.
I am looking forward to see if it’s any good once it releases cause I kinda want to jump into it.

But I think only 2 things I didn't like:
1- the map is somehow empty
2- the game looks easy???
but if there is a lot of things to do and more stuff gonna show up in the future, and the game is not gonna be easy! then I don't see any reason for all this hate! it will be amazing!
I asked a couple people who played the alpha about difficulty. They said there are difficulty settings. My guess is you will join games based on the difficulty.

So this looks great.gonna pre order ..I am still hoping there are open world "crimes" or events happening like Gotham Knights had ..you know besides the missions .
From my perspective the combat looks pretty fun and engaging, and I'm all for good dumb fun sure, but my question is how long does that novelty last, how much actual substance does the game offer, and how often will you be doing the same thing in the same exact looking environments? Either way, I don’t see any way this game justfies the $70 price tag and given the extremely negative reception it has garnered, I don't see any way it doesn't get a permanent price drop a month or two after launch.
With that being said sure I own, have played, and greatly enjoyed Sunset Overdrive, but here's the thing, Sunset Overdrive is a solid single player game with a beginning, middle, and end, it was never designed to be a live service. Suicide Squad is a live service looter shooter that nobody asked for and nobody wanted, especially not from Rocksteady and even if the game is fun and the story ends up being good, I don't see how the loot is going to encourage people to keep playing if there isn't much in the way of an endgame and nothing to really break up the monotonous tasks that it will no doubt ask of players.
I mean it looks like enough to keep you going and you can try to characters and builds with dkc coming this game could be great long term

The game honestly looks great with the movement and the animations, the open world. But just get RID of the illuminated icons and extra HUD indicators. There's just too much on the screen, it makes it look like a mobile game.

UI is insanely cluttered, screen effects are over-the-top and camera has that unnecessary, vomit-inducing wobble effect. These are all things you find in shit games made by untalented studios, not Rocksteady.

The gameplay i have seen right now more looks like The devision 1-2 from Ubisoft, where you have mixed gameplay whether you play single or with random players.
If developers will bring more content and even new charecters, I suppose the game will be interesting.

No you can play 1 character for almost the entire game with no issues.

Amazing how the difference in gameplay can affect opinion. I watched IGN's video and wasn't very impressed and didn't think I was gunna buy it. After watching this gameplay, it looks FUN. The city looks good and quirky and the combat seems pretty in depth. Think I might go for it. Something I really don't like though is how crowded the screen is. There's an icon and colorful flashing notification for everything. Also, at times, there's two or three people talking at once and it all morphs together so you can't understand a damn word. Besides that though, I think this will be a fun game to play
I think the it's probably the difference in play time, I've had a fair bit of hands on time with the game whereas IGN only had a few hours at a media event.
I've had a lot of fun with the time I've spend with it so far, really looking forward to launch.

this reminds me of how call of duty mw3 campaign structure was. multiplayer mode looking missions with a story background.
An environment that could get destroyed and some more people being around on the streets would make this game feel so much more interactive and alive
