The road has undergone repairs, speaking with other riders, the steps have now been filled in with sand and gravel

@@Leafster1973 yeah - it was proper big steps! pretty difficult (going south) especially. tricky, and i used to ride trials competitively (long time ago). the part from white cross above commondale was very boggy and gnarly, all levelled now :(
