- Doesn’t seem like just that long ago that I was playing Thursday nights at the Tunnel in Greenwich, opening for whoever was headlining that night. I learned my chops there in late 82/early83 and I’m still putting those lessons to good use 40 years later. Hope to see some of you on the Roaring Forty tour this autumn.

9Me and a friend I hadn't met were from Adelaide , South Australia when we (individually) first heard Billy Bragg. A dozen or so years later we became best mates in Canberra and also bonded on Billy's music and politics. I remember introducing my mate to Kirsty McColl and explaining who Levi Stubbs was while he explained 'l'internatioanalie'. Vale my best friend Dave - will always miss you mate.
