I think street skating might be dying due to the whole contest scene and everyone getting so damn good. Pool skating is getting a huge resurgence recently. No i dont think skateboarding is dying like it has in the past i think its transitioning into something slightly different
Economy has a lot to do with it. Hopefully it will turn around in the next few years.
