Hey bro, if you're not a big fan of the finish on the top of the desk you can always get a cover for it! They go on with adhesive and you can get all sorts of styles from rubber to a wood finish. Should sort out the visible gaps in the desk too! Thanks for the super in depth guide!
I leaned on the desk edge with about 100 pounds of my weight, and I agree if I put my full weight on the edge something is going to give! The 2 plank top doesn't bother me at all, and even if it were 1 large single piece of wood I wouldn't put my full weight on the edge.
I've had the desk for 6 months now, still very happy with it.
Was looking for the "how to set desk position". Found your video. Nice having the full manual at the end of the video!
Here's how to set the position: How the S button constantly until you see S___, then press 1 2 or 3, then press the S button again to save it. (this is for me in 6 months when I wonder how to set the desk height again).

Hi I’m having the same problem at 8:42 the ends of the rods aren’t synced and it’s too hard to turn! Any advice pls pls ??
You can use a plier to get a grip on the bar but try not to grip too much to not damage the bar.
@@busygadgets7537 thank you I actually ended up hooking up the motor first so that I could get it to turn and it worked! Thank you for your response I was having trouble reaching the manufacturer
I had the same issue. I also powered up the motor for a fraction of a second to get the rod to align.
I bought one on amazon today, it should arrive in a few days.

How is it holding up?
The control unit that controls the height went bad. The vendor took about 1-2 months to send me a new one. The new control unit does not have problems and it is working great. My impression about this desk did not change.
I apologize for not making a new video about this. I no longer make youtube videos.
I am going to add Elmer's Glue on the pegs to join the boards together. It will make a full strength bond for the life of the top board !

do we need a power drill at @14:45, or will screwdriver work too?
The screwdriver will work too. But you cant use the impact driver to tighten them or else you might get a loose screw.
