This is the Trial of the Pure Masochist, made using the CustomTrials mod by Jngo (Bob Fred) and Italy. This is a more difficult version of Trial of the Masochist by HuntHussle. The challenge is tricky and requires some attempts to figure it out, but once you have, it's not too bad.

I love how 99% of hollow knight mods are just "this game doesn't seem hard enough, let's fix that"
And 98% of those are just "so making something harder means adding more enemies at once, right? Oh, and a spike floor, of course."

@@Animalace3 it's hard. This game has the player character be surprisingly overpowered, all things considered, to the point challenges that aren't taken to some kind of extreme can oft simply be cheesed.
@@terachrome3817 I kind of assumed it's hard, but that still doesn't make me feel any different on the matter. Like for me at least, mods that simply add difficulty via unfairness (for instance, let's say a fight where the entire screen is just full of Primal Aspids) are just not fun. I much prefer having a chance at actually winning instead of knowing that no matter what I do, I won't succeed.
Which is why I don't really play with mods, I find that several of the boss fights themselves are more than fun enough for me (think my favorite fight so far is NKG, a fight that I actually have to work for instead of just respeccing my equipped charms). Not to mention I haven't even beaten the Pantheons yet...
Imagine you get to kingdom's edge, and then 100 bodies come falling down at once.

@@musaran2 No, when that explosive guys wave started(yeah, forgot their names) he just rushed and attacked one, got hit by the explosion. He wouldnt have done that if he played it before.

To make it even better, you need to have the dream nail to see them. That means the crowd just saw fireborn swatting around like crazy and getting bumped around.
My head cannon is that this is what the Knight does after the true ending.. just hangs out with his buds (like purified vessel and the mantis queens) and captures a bunch of creatures and gets the snail shamans to summon a bunch of copies of spirits (like marmu). Just so that he can challenge himself.

I almost feel like you purposely went down to one heart on the last fight given how absolutely mind-blowing that entire display was. Thank you for that, it was a thrilling experience all the way through.

Colo 3 has that. The second easiest part of this is probably the flukemungas or the first husk guard wave.

I just watched him defeat two traitor lords in front of my face, the boss that I'm stuck on, I feel like I'm being mocked by the world
That was one of the hardest bosses for me to beat.. I still have trouble with him sometimes..

@@hdrienpd1181 In modded Hive Knight in the Pantheon of Nightmares there is an immortal bee at the end, the strategy the usually use to fight primal aspids is to kill them before they act or stay as far as possible to dodge easily to then insta kill, no matter the situation, having immortal primal aspids would increase the difficulty

@@zutaca2825 it's a tip i've seen when i had issues with radiance... well, if i was good enough to do that correctly i wouldn't have issues with radiance xDD (i have 112% by now, still not able to tactically get hit xD)
and honestly, i'm not sure if it was intended or not when fire did it, it might have been lucky muscle memory or a smart play ^^

At this point i was already expecting absolute radiance with spikes in the floor and the walls and only one platform

Add some more thorns and this is exactly what Queen's Gardens is like compressed into one room
you also have to add in a delicate flower for the true immersion
i always hated mantis tetras they always make me fall in thorns while i'm doing QG parkour
I love that moment where fire instinctually tries to use Desolate Dive against the Pure Vessel, only to accidentally crash into the spikes.
5 Grimms at once is fine but the moment there are more than 2 primal aspids it gets impossible

For some reason I think that i would've prefered fighting two traitor lords at once instead of 3 watcher knights or 4 marmuus, it's a harder boss but its attacks are more schematic than the attacks of A MF BALL
