At some point this pantheon stops being "Can you beat all 42 bosses in a row" and becomes "can you beat absolute radiance while your hands are shaky as fuck"
I would say it's just a matter of how ambitious the project is, if they rush it, it's not going to be a good game "i think", but if they take their time and do things at their own pace, we will definitely get a good game in the end xD

Yeeaaah, that was my AbsRad experience. Besides getting overconfident on dang Zote, AbsRad is the run-ender. You can pray to God, but only AbsRad will answer.
If anyone is wondering: I'm assuming the practice AbsRad attempts are in the Hall of Gods, where you can refight infinitely after you've seen the boss once, however, the last attempt is 100% in the Pantheon proper. Not only did he have lifeblood, but you don't see the knight turn into the void thingy and destroy AbsRad in Hall of Gods, you just get the final normal hit and a bit of text telling you to get good and do it in the Pantheon. AbsRad itself honestly isn't that bad a fight IMO, but there are a few things you want to keep in mind: 1. Just like in the normal Radiance fight, you are fully healed going from PV to AbsRad. That means that if you can save your SOUL during PV, you can blow it all on AbsRad. Don't heal in the cutscene between the fights, and don't heal in the last bit of the PV fight. You want that SOUL for AbsRad. 2. IMO, first phase is the most dangerous, because of those stupid sideways swords. I like to let all my Abyss Shrieks loose in that phase to get it over with ASAP 3. Second phase and third phase are relatively easy if you remember that AbsRad doesn't deal contact damage, meaning you can get as in its face as you want. 4. Quick slash is a MUST for the final two phases as it drastically increases DPS. 5. In phase two, just camp the bottom platform and wait for AbsRad to come to any one of the three bottom platforms. Do NOT chase it elsewhere. Those three bottom platforms you can sit on and spam upslash pretty safely. With (Un)Breakable Strength, Quick Slash, and best nail, you only need to do this two or three times and you're into phase 3. If you use quick focus, you can easily heal during other attacks so this phase is pretty safe. If you're worried about SOUL, you get almost a full 3 uses if you spam upslash on AbsRad in a bottom platform. 6. After the climb, the strat is to jump towards AbsRad, pogo through it, and lure the ball it spawns off-screen. Unlike in the other two phases, balls that go off-screen almost always despawn. Since pogoing through AbsRad is moving you quite a bit anyway, dodging the balls if almost trivial as long as one doesn't spawn on top of you. 7. Be patient. Don't get greedy with attacking it, it will out DPS you if you make a mistake. The swirly swords and three-burst beams of light in either phase are great spots to heal if you have Quick Focus (which you should. Best charm in the game IMO, it lets you heal in places you really shouldn't be able to) After that, it's just fighting the nerves. Practice a lot in the Hall of Gods, get the fight down, then get out there. If you've made it to the Pantheon of Hallownest, you are 100% capable of beating AbsRad. AbsRad is intimidating, but, ultimately, completely manageable.

I love this video because around the time I found it, I was starting up Pantheon runs, and whenever I'd get past a certain boss or Pantheon I'd let myself watch further. Still haven't seen the ending though thanks Markoth and GPZ for ruining most of my P5 runs Edit: as of 2/22/2022, I have completed PoH and have viewed the ending. What a day to reach this goal.

@@dr.zapatoso7220 path of pain is easy as long as you time since it's like a metronome, the hard part is the final battle against the two enemies at the end Meanwhile PoH is Uber hard cause you need to adapt to the enemy movements I've only beaten PoH once and I'm not touching hollowknight again(other than maybe trying to learn to speedrun in the future)

A big part of it a lot of people don't seem to do is practicing the bosses. Like seriously I did it 2nd try as I spent one turn unlocking absrad and then grinded for like a week so I could consistently kill every boss and then did it again. It's time consuming, sure, but it's much better than charging in and wasting an hour every time.
Watcher Knights are honestly brutal first playthrough, use the chandelier secret and shade cloak and start putting in attempts and eventually they'll die

Markoth was my biggest obstacle in the PoH. Died to him 4 or 5 times but beat Absolute Radiance my second try in the pantheon. This was of course after hours of practice in the hall of gods against NKG , PV , and Radiance. Keep at it and eventually you will get it.

This gives me memories (and PSTD) of how I defeated Absolute Radiance. It was weird. Before, I would get super nervous and shaky fighting it. But then all of a sudden, I was devoid of emotion. I don’t know why. I wasnt nervous, i wasnt shaking, heck, my heart didnt even beat that fast. I only took one hit in that fight, and won It was… odd
At first, I avoided this video because I was scared of what it could do to the characters. Eventually, though, I got curious. This led to being stunned by how well the video was edited... and then never being able to look at the godseekers the same way again.

@@dr.zapatoso7220 path of pain is easy as long as you time since it's like a metronome, the hard part is the final battle against the two enemies at the end
Meanwhile PoH is Uber hard cause you need to adapt to the enemy movements I've only beaten PoH once and I'm not touching hollowknight again(other than maybe trying to learn to speedrun in the future)

A big part of it a lot of people don't seem to do is practicing the bosses. Like seriously I did it 2nd try as I spent one turn unlocking absrad and then grinded for like a week so I could consistently kill every boss and then did it again. It's time consuming, sure, but it's much better than charging in and wasting an hour every time.

Also me: still can't beat marcoth in pantheon of hollownest.
Markoth was my biggest obstacle in the PoH. Died to him 4 or 5 times but beat Absolute Radiance my second try in the pantheon. This was of course after hours of practice in the hall of gods against NKG , PV , and Radiance. Keep at it and eventually you will get it.
