- Sharing my day with you in Jerusalem! I had a very fruitful Purim this year and was happy to spend the day out and about. The city really came alive with the parade and it was nice seeing everyone so festive. I went to an extra megillah reading so I captured it to share with you as well!
Now onto Pesach! 😊👏

You shouldn't apologize for wanting to cry, you're living in the home land and experiencing the joy of being able to be a Jew in the home land!!! I was there many years ago long before I started to really study the history or go to shul, it took me many more years before I started to embrace my Judaism. I'm not religious but I do observe some things. I know if and when I go back I'm probably going to have a good cry!

Happy Purim! That bakery looks amazing! All the food looks so good! Especially that Israeli version of a kitkat bar. Sounds good! I was pleasantly surprised, the chocolate itself it tasted exactly like a Carmelo bar. Cadbury, milky chocolate. Definitely sweet but I wasn’t complaining. 😏

I love your Keep Davening Mug! Where can I get one? The hamentachen were very unique. One of my friends bought me a gift of lavender baking extract from iherb. I had no idea what to do with it.
The plastic container has coated peanuts which are called in Hebrew "Botnim Amerikaim" "American peanuts'.
Ahha, mystery solved! Maybe I should have known that as an American. 😄

I've been in Jerusalem twice for Shushan Purim. The first time not much was happening due to bad weather, so I had to make sure I was in Jerusalem for Purim on my next trip. The second time the weather was perfect and I had a good time.

Don't worry about how long it takes you to do certain parts of davening. Not everyone always keeps up especially with Shemona Esrei! You do you, people will just think you have more kavanah than they do :D

Regarding the Hebrew word for feast/meal: It's pronounced "seh-oo-DUH" (very small emphasis on the DUH part). You pronounced it more like "Soda", which explains the neighbour's confusion.

Wow, this is amazing! I had no clue the extent of festivities in Yerushalayim! So those two rabbi guys, could you ask them if he was at 770 last July/August? Not the reader, but the other one. I swear it looks just like him, he and two friends, talmidim, from Yisrael, were at the 770 yeshiva and I and a large group had Shabbat dinner with them one night. It might not be him, but it looks just like him.
