I've had this exact generator now for over 3 years now with 225 hrs. run time on it and its great! I also have a Predator 3500 in my racecar trailer which I use to run my air compressor, winch, lights and charge my onboard battery. Like you I can only run one of my AC's with the microwave but that's enough for me. Love the way you have yours mounted! I keep Champion on a bumper aluminum storage rack with ratchet straps and that seems to work for me.

omg!!! yes!! i've had 3 predator 3500watt inverters and all have died after 3000 hours and a pain in the butt to change the oil. I got the champion 4650 and i have 6K hours on it, it looks exactly like yours. it's fantastic! it's going strong and the oil change is SO EASY! dont waster your money on a predator. get this one instead.

My rv built in generator broke down and to $$$ to replace so got this remote start champion at a fraction of the cost and mounted it on hitch so with the remote start it works just like a built in rv generator where you dont have to get off of rv to turn on and off.....love this thing with the click of a button from the comfort of inside

I hope the newer Champion generators are better than the older ones. I bought a 7500-watt duel fuel several years ago and at 64 hours of run time, it started shutting down on low oil level in less than a tank of gas. By 80 hours it was shutting down at about 2 hours of run time. I will never own another champion product again.
This is my first Champion generator and I have around 300 hrs on it and have had no issues . Very happy so far. Thanks for watching 👍
I own two 2500 dual fuel Champions, and a 4250 watt dual fuel champion. They have never failed me. I have 300 hours on the 2500 watt generators. I use them in parallel to run my travel trailer when boondocking. I have 75 hours on the 4250 watt. I used primarily as a house back up, but I've also used it to run some tools when working outside.
Mine has worked great no complaints . It fires up every time and does its job. Thanks for watching 👍

I have that Champion and love it. Can you speak to the feel of vibration through the frame while running it on your reinforced bumper mount? Does having your stabilizers deployed take some of the vibration away? Thanks!
I'm surprised at how little vibration there is. Doesn't seem to be better or worse with stabilizers down. The vibration is not an issue at all, I'm very happy with it. It probably has something to do with how I mounted through the rubber feet, the wheel location and how tight everything is. Thanks for watching 👍
Great video, looking at getting champions generator. Was it hard to find good deals on places to stay stationary starting off being a full-time? Any suggestions on good priced full time rv locations guide in south east.
Thanks! The champion has been great for me so far. We haven't stayed full-time in that area, only traveling through and not really stay more than a couple days at a rv park if we stayed at one at all. So not sure in that area. Doe the additional length with generator on the back affect where you can camp? We are looking at a hoist to take in and out of our truck. Only because I'm old and have joint replacement and can't lift 100 plus lbs.

the champion is definitely better than the 3500, although the 3500 is a great value when it’s on sale. that being said, i just picked up the new predator 5000 dual fuel and it’s great. we would have went with the champion if the P5000 hadn’t released

I, too, own a 3500w predator inverter generator. I originally started with the 3500 W predator inverter from Harbor freight. But then I had to change my heart. When I saw the champion come out with their 4500 W remote control. So I had another change of heart when Harbor freight came out with their 5000 dual remote control. So when I learned that harbor freight had come out finally with the 5000 dual fuel remote control, which I had been waiting for Harbor freight to do. And that is a remote control inverter generator. I really like both brands, but you can not be the future of having the remote control.

DO NOT PUT ANYTHING in Amazon cart!!!! Every time I do and leave it in there the price goes up and has never went down. I think they look at tour cart and raise the prices on certain things.

How is it while running the AC, water pump and other electronics together???
As long as your not running the AC and microwave or both AC's it works great. You can run AC and whatever else with it, just not 2 big power things at same time. I've been very happy with it. Thanks for watching 👍
I plan on having a Jayco with one solar panel and a 300ah lithium battery. I was wondering if a 3500 or a 5000 would run an air conditioner. looks like it will according to your video Thank you.
They will both run the air conditioner. I have no problem running my big air conditioner, tvs, refrigerator and everything. The only thing I can't run with it is the 2nd air conditioner and the microwave. 👍
Would not run mine...just curious how you are only running one unit? Are you flipping breakers or what?

I'm on the second 5000 W Predator generator the first one lasted 500 hours then went out.

Ya it goes up and down. They have my version and they also have the duel fuel. I chose the gas only because of how I was using in mounted on the back. I didn't want to run propane line so gas only works good for me. Thanks for watching 👍

I've been very happy with it.. ya harbor freight doesn't have the best reputation. Everything is CHINA.. although most things are these days unfortunately 😔 Champion use to be made in USA but like so many other things are also made in China now 👎. Thanks for watching 👍
Predator 5000 trumps it
I checked out the 5000 recently, looks nice. Should be a good one. It's a little heavier and physically bigger then the Champion but should work well !
Predator 5000. 100 dollars more . Dual fuel , remote start and comes with carb jets for high altitude
Ya it should be a good one. I'm sure that will be the new popular generator. I've been at sea level and at 8900' elevation and never had to do anything with jetting. Everywhere we have been around the country it just fires up and runs good. Thanks for watching 👍
@@HappinessTravelz generally they do fine, but the jet option at no extra cost is cool. Took me 20 or 30 minutes to change. First time always takes longer

Don’t run a generator anywhere near me. Generators are yesterday.
I just bought one and returned it same day. All I did was open the camper door and turn on the a/c. That pos started smoking...I have only owned a camper for 2 days. Nothing else was on. On ly the a/c...30 amp 2020 camper. Complete waist of time. Thanks for nothing.
You know they don’t come with oil in the sump? You have to fill them with engine oil.

The 5000 looks nice. I'm sure most won't buy the 3500 since there so close in price. The 5000 will be the one everyone talks about now. It's a little heavier and bigger than the 4500 champion but has 400 more running watts and 500 more starting.. should be a good one though 👍
Just today sold my Predator 3500 and ran to HF to pick up a Predator 5000 (which is on a 10% off this weekend BTW). Had nothing but good experience with the 3500, we just wanted dual fuel and the remote.
Sadly the new 5000 has problems with the co monitor shutting it down at random times while sitting in an area where no co build up is possible
