For the Love of Lobster - A Maine Lobstering Short Film

- Eliot Erickson and I decided that it was time to step out of our videography/photography comfort zones and make something different. We teamed up with two Cape Elizabeth High School graduates, Nick and Andrew Pellechia, to follow their lobstering journey for a few weeks during the end of their 2017 season. We hope everyone enjoys our short film.

Fellow lobsterman here , fourth year fishing down East still learning. unfortunately I started late in my 20s so I couldn’t do the student program. My captain also graduated from Maine maritime and he made a living shipping out from December to July and came home for the gravey fishing. Now he’s a retired master and lobsters year round. I’ve never had a Maine lobster, but my mouths watering. I have every admiration for you real fishermen, not so much the huge Japanese boats that strip everything regardless, and when they catch sharks, they cut the fins off and throw them back to drown!!! All for shark fin soup that is the nastiest thing ever. That’s sickening. Well done to the Maine lobster fishermen/women who work hard to maintain the stocks for the future. ❤

Never done a drug in my life. Went to maritime academy and drug tests were part of my time there as well as my life now as a Merchant marine and commercial fishermen. And we did buy a bigger boat.
