For Everyone's Information, NOTICE THAT BIG ASS SPOON SHE'S USING TO SCOOP THE POWDERED INGREDIANTS IS NOT A TEA SPOON. IT'S AT LEAST 1 TABLE SPOON!!! I USE 1½ TABLE SPOONS! Otherwise, in my opinion it's the best recipe & cooking method for a small batch. This is my go to recipe & every time I made it, I had to come back & watch what she does in order to not be confused. But now I've hand written the recipe & make it often with confidence now! Making it today & realized I needed to come back & say something. YOU'RE WELCOME & ENJOY!
Fam I made this ... and now I can’t stop making it , I swear to god for the past 4 weeks that’s all I’ve been making & tryna make more ways too make it better mannnnnnn lemme tell you !! Nvm all I gotta say is THANK YOU !
I like that you kept the recipe authentic. You didn't add a bay leaf or tomatoes as suggested by other vloggers. Easy to follow recipe. I can follow your recipe.
I tried this recipe minus the Pimento spice because I didn't have any but, it came out amazing!!!! Thanks! No more going to the Flames restaurant and spending 15.00 for a plate that they didn't even give me enough last time to get full off of.
My first taste of jamacan style food was a recipe similar to this one and i gotta say it really gives you an appreciation for how simple the recipes can be but how amazing everything can taste. One of the best style foods around and this creator does a perfect job at explaining every step in making it.
I have a Jamaican family and been to the west indies twice. That's only place I've been to abroad. First when I was 4-5 years old and again when I was 11-12 years old. I've cooked some jamaican recipes in the past and I loved it.
Finally thank you for doing a video with live voice can’t stand videos with out the person explaining because not every second I can look at phone 📱 so I can listen to it. Thanks
I made this and it turned out sooooooooo good. Followed your directions to a T. Im making a second batch to share with my friends. Thank you miss lady 💗
All I am going to say is THANK YOU! I have been cooking your recipe for 3 day in a row and my family loves it. Its so easy to prepare and the flavour in it it’s unbelievable. God bless you and your family 🌷thank you again 🌹
Hi Whitney, your curry chicken looks so good and nice colour, not too yellowish. Just the right colour I like. I like to cook with bone in chicken because they are tastier
I appreciate your time to make the videos. I think I am adding to much curry to my curry lol. I have the same Maggi seasonings that you have, along with the other ingredients. So on my next curry chicken (maybe the next 2 weeks) I follow your video. I will let you know how it goes. Many thanks for another video again Whitney! You are truly helping people like me :)
Made this for part of my Christmas dinner it was GREAT 👍.. Thanks for sharing now I have a simple and good Jamacian Curry Chicken recipe. Happy Holidays
This looks divine!! There was an amazing Jamaican lady I knew years ago, and she made a chicken pie that was sooo good, sadly she passed before I had the chance to ask her what the seasoning was, or the recipe. Do you have a recipe for chicken pie?
I found this recipe absolutely delicious. I am in England and it’s rare here to find a decent Jamaican curry not to mention finding scotch bonnet peppers in our usual English supermarkets (Tesco shame on you!) I used regular red chillies but I’m sure I’m not experiencing the true taste, but this curry is absolutely delicious anyway. I’ve made it multiple times now and it always goes down a storm. Thank you Whitney xx
I'm in the UK and Scotch bonnet pepper is easily found in any supermarket here. It's full of Jamaicans in the UK and Jamaican stuff is also easily found in corner shops. I'm in Essex and I work in Sainsbury's and we have fresh scotch bonnet pepper in my store. You can easily source it on Amazon if you can't find any in store. I don't care for it so I never use it. My bf is half Caribbean so I am used to eating/cooking Jamaican cuisine. The scotch bonnet pepper has a fruity taste but really you can use just any hot chilli... It's not essential and with curry you can also just leave it out completely if you don't want it to be hot. I'd sub with habanero if you want a fruity type of heat and can't find that specific chilli.
they sell scotch bonnet peppers in sainsbury's, co-op, asian market stalls along high streets, I've even seen them at the butchers, so they do sell em mate✌
I made this like a month ago, my family tore it up!! I didn't even get a piece. I'm making it again for a party, will make sure I get some this time!!!
I appreciate this video. She gets straight to the point. The otha YouTuba Dem, unoh CHAT too much.😡
