we had a loner car from the dealer once, a 2012 Prius while ours was in the shop. It was very cool in one way, it resembled a futuristic spaceship on the inside and out and had all these super cool displays on the inside. But as a driver, I would absolutely hate it. Way too much going on with too many distractions. I wondered if Toyota did that in an attempt to distract the driver from what a boring car it is to drive. We were so happy to get our 2002 V6 Camry back!

Of course that alone won't save the planet and it won't make the Prius less boring. Then again a lot of folks buy it simply because it's reliable.

Ironically, keeping an excellent old car going, is arguably better for the planet in some ways (i'm not including local air pollution). Problem with Hybrids and EVs is that the production methods are horrendous. Not only do they have to ship components across the globe, but Lithium mining and other rare metals required for the batteries cause immense environmental damage. So between the Chevy and the Gatorade, you're doing okay.

Ironically, keeping an excellent old car going, is arguably better for the planet in some ways (i'm not including local air pollution). Problem with Hybrids and EVs is that the production methods are horrendous. Not only do they have to ship components across the globe, but Lithium mining and other rare metals required for the batteries cause immense environmental damage. So between the Chevy and the Gatorade, you're doing okay.
