Hey, thanks for watching. I really like it. The look is great and no complaints about function or sound quality. The cd version might be nice and period correct as well but not as stellar looking. Very happy with mine. I didn't wire in a mic the one on the faceplate works fine for e36.

How did the install go in your Cherokee? I'm curious to know if or how I need to wire the Mic +/- wiring on the harness.
You mentioned the unit defaults to off at startup. Any chance you can change that to start up automatically?
Someone said I got two of the wires mixed up, I haven't had the unit back out since the install to mess around with though, sorry
I have this radio and yes you need to switch the red and yellow wires. It will automatically turn on after that and save the clock and radio stations.

Charge yes, I'm not sure what kind of format the data connection is looking for. There's a flap covering USB and 3.5mm

It should if your car has it. There is a SW Control cable included and plugs into the back.
