The Straw Horses (Corinne Lucy & Rob Bray) rehearsing 'Corn Rigs' from The Wicker Man. Words from the poem of the same name by Robert Burns; music by Paul Giovanni.
Hi Charles, somewhere down in the comments I posted the chords a few years ago, but to save you digging around, I'll paste the same answer here: Here are the basic shapes I use in my approximation of the two-guitar original arrangement, but of course there are various details and finger movements within the shapes as well, which I hope you can get by ear. Where fingerings are non-standard or unclear, I have given fret number notation too. D, C, G D, C, G Am7(11)[5x5530], Gmaj7[3xx432] plus little melody G7(no3rd)[3x3031], D11(kind of)[x55555], G(with sus4 on & off) chorus: D11(as above), Bm7, Am7(11)(as above), Gmaj7(6)[3x4430], G7(no3rd)(as above) Paul Giovanni did a wonderful job with these songs. All the best, Rob
@@ludophono my and my mate played this twice last week in two different pubs and i used a mix of the original - intro and guitar break - and yours to work it out. all the best!
I like the works of Paul Giovanni. This cover has a nice home-made feel but I think the quality of the performance justifies the attention of a good sound engineer. You say rehearsal, is there a performance somewhere?
marvellous, love it
thanks!
