I was literally about to comment the same thing. With the way things have been going for what feels like the last ten sessions now, I was pretty much expecting it.
Brad, I've been following your journey for years, and I can see you're in a bit of a rough patch right now. I’ve never seen anyone consistently come out a winner by playing like this in the long run. I think it's time to get back to basics, right? Stop trying to play every previous hand all over again-just focus on the one in front of you and play it in the best way possible.
This means folding, even if you suspect your opponent might be trying to bluff you. Do the math. What's the hand range? Then make your decision-not based on avoiding a fold or chasing a big win to recover losses, but based on the long-term expected value of playing that hand a certain way. It’s not about the short-term win, it’s about the long-term result. Lately, it feels like you’ve gone off track. You’re gambling too often, hoping for things to turn around, remembering the few times it worked this year. But that’s the tactic of a desperate player-the kind we look for as they leak money slowly but surely.
Honestly, it's been tough to watch. I used to really look forward to your videos, but lately, I dread them because I already know what's coming-a hard fight to get unstuck, and at best, breaking even by taking unnecessary risks. Or worse, taking a big five-figure hit, which honestly, the math says is inevitable with the way you’ve been playing. It’s brutal to watch at this point.
Sure, you’re not as reckless as some like Rampage, but you’ve clearly lost your way. You’re trying too hard, instead of just accepting that the past is in the past. Stop thinking about the money you had and focus on playing the best you can with what you have right now. Everyone has a losing year-it’s part of the game, right?
To me, the solution is simple: drop down a level or two, regain your confidence, and work on your game (which I’m sure you do regularly). Pick your spots more carefully when playing at higher stakes.
This recent loss? It was on you, mate. Most situations had you mathematically behind when you lost. Solver analysis, experience-everything was telling you one thing, but you kept doing the other. That’s a clear sign of a type of tilt that might not feel like tilt but definitely is. It’s when every hand feels like the one you can justify staying in-that’s gambling, not playing poker with skill.
That said, Brad, I know you’ll turn this around. You have great people around you, but I just can’t keep cheering you on when I know this pattern will keep happening unless you make some changes to regain your composure.
Stop counting your money for a while and start counting like a card counter. +1 if you played your A-game, 0 if you played solid but not your best, and -1 if you feel like you had leaks. If your score stays positive, you're on the right track. But if it’s negative (and right now I’d say it’s quite high), you’ve got to play lower until that number tells you it’s time to move back up. /Cheers mate

I wanted to say something like this, but did not want to drill it like Brad was at the dentist. However a rethink, in whatever form that may have to take is on the cards. As a poker noob I can't suggest anything on gameplay however Brad is a good math analyst but not adept in sociology (andrew neeme - 'staying in/jumping out of flow' - using table dynamics to visualise what each player might do) and Brad allowing himself to get a little drunk whilst heavily stuck, not considering the vlog must necessarily paint something of a target on his back. Also Brad is not psychologically adept like Mario, using his antenna accurately/spookily. No idea where to go to move forward well; I do not joke when I say it is possible to make a deal with the enemy of one's soul. That is not an option. Going back to accounting having lost more than half of one's bankroll in one session absolutely is.
I suggest bringing chess/ bridge and a neat tidy Omaha game into the fold. Wont waste comment time as to why. Never pray for good cards, pray to play your best game. We love you Brad!

If anybody knows that dealer, you should tell them two things.
1. stop riding in your car with your elbow on the window. That vibration hurts the nerves and makes your hand numb.
2. Stretch the elbow tendon. The best stretch for this is where you make circles with your thumb and pointer and put them on your face like eyeglasses. But the rest of your fingers point down toward your toes. Elbow is up in the air. This will stretch that tendon and make your fingers have feeling again.

Agree. Opponent checks to the river then opponent finally bets the river. Brad does not like his hand but somehow in Brad’s wildest dreams he thinks the opponent may be bluffing. Opponent bets a river knowing that most likely someone will call then how the hell can that someone believe opponent is bluffing enough times to make it worth calling him.????

I’m only 2 1/2 minutes into your video and I have to stop and tell you something that I’ve already told you before, but it needs to be repeated. The feeling you have an express about your father is identical to the feeling that I have for my dad who is 92. I have six kids and every single one of them seems to feel the same way about me that you and I feel about our dads and I can tell you from first hand experience that there is no greater honor that you can give your father than what you have expressed to all of your followers on your UA-cam channel and I applaud you for it because I (and many other of your followers) feel exactly the same way.

Audio question: always enjoy the subtle backround music, sounds like there’s another backround audio track that is “human chatter”. Is that a layer? I’m sure the video mics are off because we would hear chips shuffling. Plus you wouldn’t want room mics because of copyrighted music chance.

Welcome to being Human. Been running like that for a while. Have you considered taking a week or two off from poker? It helps to reset and get the mind right. It's difficult going into games knowing you haven't been running well and expecting more of the same.

77 is a clear call on flop. After turn card will be check check. AQ Nuts was obvious and the first thing I thought about after he checked. The call on the river is terrible and something you actually be able to fold cause u knew it.
