What is it with you guys and the aftermarket exhaust on these bikes? Because for one the original exhaust has a great shape just like the rest of the bike, and two, the original quiet thump is a signature sound for these bikes that sound beautiful. They have a very cheap crackly thump sound when you try and make them louder.
i just acquired an 86 VT 700C with 11,916 miles. Clean bike and garaged for about 10 years. I bought a new battery for it and having the carbs removed and cleaned. Anyone have any suggestion for a aftermarket exhaust? for safety reasons I would like to make it a little louder. Thanks ahead for any feed back.

Wish I had the 750 or more. But the vr500 is still fun
great engines (Hydraulic Valves) and very Torquey. Has more HP than a harley 883. and its a 6 Speed! Cant go wrong
