A friend gave me one in like new condition. It looked new. Great for around town, the whir of the motor was very nice. It surely wasn’t comfortable for trips farther than 25 miles. After having it for a winter and a summer, I sold it to a kid who wanted it bad. I let him have it for 1,700.00 and he was in Heaven. I remember hearing the sound of the bike around that small town and smiling cause I knew he was having fun. Big Spring Texas 1989 I do regret letting that bike go. It was the best looking shadow Honda made.
@@Ladosligese yea. Couldn't pass up on it. It had started down pouring hard while i was talkin to the guy. Glad i jumped on it tho bc acording to the fella he walked inside to see like 30 messages on offers for it

Just got an 86 700 with no title but a bill of sale,. For 600. Gonna do the carbs, wondering if I should put a jet hit in it while I'm in it. It's black, l
1986 WAS a good year, Ken.. Don't forget the best 3-Wheeler ever produced - the ATC 250r.., and the biggest sport 4-Stroke ATC ever made, the 350x.. Honda Ruled... 🤘🇺🇸🤘
Just got an 85 that "needed a carb clean and a battery" for 600. So far im 300 down on all the parts that needed replaceing for the carbs and that battery, and thats before all the hoses, fluids, new tires and any electrical work.
You might have one trouble with electronics: the three wires going from the stator to the rectifier to the battery are notorious for corrosion at one of the junctions. Easy fix, but something to look out for. I miss my old Shadow. Same year, same color.
Wouu just remember. The one i got... pulls like a bull. Super fast. Great torque. It uses a fuel pump thats his mayor problem. After that the bike its very reliable... super fast
I like listening to your lectures or flappin' at the gums! KEEP IT UP especially about these OLD Honda's!
I had an 87 700. Hit 115 mph. Sweet bike. So smooth. So comfortable.
1986 was the birth of the greatest quad of all time the Mighty Honda Fourtrax 250R.
