Our cat was diagnosed with wet FIP. We've made a 84 days treatment with GS injections. And here she's- happy, healthy, playful girl. For us absolutely worth it! And our vet told that they have a very high rate of success. For everyone experiencing that-be brave, hopeful and take actions to save your fluffy baby!

My 11 month old cat just died of FIP. Spent $700 at the emergency vet, if we even had a chance I would have gotten the meds. I didn't even know this existed, but he had all of the symptoms. He passed at home and it was traumatic.

My cat was diagnosed with FIP. I couldn't get the drug where I live but since it's a coronavirus my vet suggested treating him with ivermectin. He is 3 weeks into treatment and he is doing great. His uveitis cleared up and he is back to waking me up at three a.m. this is my experience with my cat, I am not a vet, ivermectin worked in my case. Just sharing my experience, hope it can help.

Sad to see someone with a degree provide such a generic maybe maybe not answer. Treatment costs as little as $2-6 per day for 84 days now (wet, dry, neuro? + shipping, injection supplies, medication), blood tests will cost an additional $120 first visit $60 each follow up blood test, total $300 in blood tests. So as little as $200 for a small cat with wet/dry non-neuro with no blood tests, up to $700+ for a neuro case 4kg cat with all blood tests. Reach out to all of your nearby cat rescues, someone in that network will get you info, many people are just gate keeping.

She’s a vet…. She would risk her license publicly promoting an illegal medicine. Her language obviously suggests the protocol is worth it in most cases. Also the price range will depend on where you live and how easy it is to access supplies. For me I’m paying about $12 per day in Seattle area. Probably more all things considered. But a small cost to pay to save my boy.

💔 I had a boy back in the early 80's contract this horrible disease. He went to skin and bones and bladder loss in a matter of days!! The vet said I could extend his life with appetite meds but I'd only get a month at best. I let him go. I couldn't put my Rusty through it. After that every cat I've owned has been spayed and neutered. It wasn't a thing back then. At least not where I am. I also only let my kitty out when I am able to supervise.💕

Does anyone know how much the medication cost? My cat is diagnosed with wet FIP and every day he is getting worse but I know he is trying his best to fight I don't want to lose him, the doctor didn't do his best to comfort me and he said it's not treatable and only has a little chance to survive, he eventually gonna die he just needs time. He couldnt breathe, lungs filled with liquid, and we had to make a tough decision. He was never diagnosed even after death. Maybe theres a high sucess rate but every vet I met failed to provide any answers

I'd nightmares for years. Tragically I encountered it again. The chances 1 in 16000 Wet form severe also. Cat went to sizes of basketball. I'm now scared of cats and dogs.
