- It's been about a week since Bear my 2-year old Newfoundland dog had surgery. He's doing well and I decided to make a video sharing the reasons for why I decided to neuter him and why his teeth are always going to be slightly weird haha. You may wonder why I wanted so long to neuter him. The reason is that with giant breeds its ideal to wait later than usual to allow for proper bone development.

I’m terrified of the implication of a tiny chihuahua being pregnant with giant Bear babies.
Maybe their birth would looks like a scene from alien.... :/
That would be awful. Although highly improbable that is, it’s possible BUT the chihuahua would likely die in child birth and the pup would not stay in anywhere near term because of their size and they would likely die before birth. Not to mention that most vets would recommend abortion in that case or the abortion of most in order to make room for the others to hopefully give one a chance but it’s still risky and awful to think about.
Unfortunately, that kind of thing happens. Generally not with dogs as big as Bear and as small as a chihuahua, but it's one of the really important reasons to be very cautious about breeding and to neuter most pet animals. If a female gets knocked up by a dog much larger than her, she can die due to the pregnancy or just have stillborn or deformed puppies. The resulting pups could be much too large for her body to carry safely, even if the male isn't that dramatically large compared to her.
Jasmine Collins yep. I raised pitbull dachshund pups for a rescue after the mom died from complications and the owner left the pups outside.

Not only how much Mike loves Bear but also how much Bear loves him is extreme level of love (a dog's love can be judged by how much he licks him),
Every time a dog or cat hiccups around me, I also lose my mind and love it so much. It just tickles me and I want to squeeze them *gently* while I tell them how adorable they are.

The Elizabethan collar Bear is wearing is standard and available in many sizes. It's better than the cone because it doesn't interfere with eating or drinking while they are wearing it.

I just recently found this channel, and I am on an absolute BINGE of DM content. I can honestly say that I bawled my eyes out at 8:42. That level of just such a special talent and skill. What a therapeutic and positive way to fight the mental battle that cancer presents. To know that someone with such an incredible gift to show the world is suffering at the grasp of cancer is so painful. I had tears of sadness for the diagnosis and suffering, and at the same time tears of beauty and joy at such a wonderful piece of art. If you are that artist and you are able to reply to me today, I want to say I am glad you are still with us.

Sadly that’s what my parents did......
I feel like "doggy child support" should be a thing. If your dog unintentionally impregnates another dog, you should be responsible for half of the costs associated with the medical care for the mom and/or raising and rehoming of the puppies.
@@ps374249 if you feel that way then the owner of the male dog should have the possibility to become the puppy owner and the owner of the female should pay child support.

The female's owners will have to pay for vet check ups for pregnancy, extra food for the mom and special food when she has the pups, for dog milk formula(if it's needed), puppy pads, puppy food, dewormers for pups, first vaccinations for pups etc... That's all soo expensive so 100% if the female's owner wants the owner of the male that got their dog accidentally pregnant to pay something, they should pay...

I know how hard it is when you just can't have a dog of your own, but.......
Why don't you ask around if there are people that need their dog walked while they are at work or someone elderly or disabled that cannot give the dog the exercise it needs anymore. If you get to know people better and you get along maybe you can even do agility or something else with the dog. I know it is not the same as your own dog but it can help fill th void until the day comes that you have your very own pupsel.
