"Why don't they just give him a pill". The worms managed to cut a pipe, use the metal to build a scifi city inside a digestive track, and heal a fist sized hole going through the whole body (so regrowing organs, spine and reconnecting the spinal cord) without leaving a single scar. That episode was based on Fantastic Voyage, a 1966 science fiction film about a submarine crew who is shrunk to microscopic size and venture into the body of an injured scientist to repair damage to his brain. Bantam Books obtained the rights for a paperback novelization based on the screenplay and approached Isaac Asimov to write it. My grandma hit the age where she was supposed to get one as part of her yearly medical exam but refused to because she said she was scared. My grandpa, who is five years younger than her, wasn't due for one but scheduled one completely out of pocket just because he loved her so much he wanted to prove it wasn't scary by having one first. They caught colon/rectal cancer with his.
He's now been nearly 25 years cancer free now. And, thanks to seeing how important the screening was, even though she probably wasn't particularly less scared after how his turned out, she did get her colonoscopy, and everything was fine for her.

Zoidberg riding the sperm is a subtle continuity nod to a previous episode where Bender accidentally and causally rendered Fry sterile with a radiation emitting flashlight. This ends up being important later on when Fry, during a time travel episode, sleeps with his grandmother and ends up conceiving his father, therefore becoming his own grandfather. There’s more, but it’s that kind of show it is and we love it for that.

Two guys on a motorcycle were trying to avoid an accident only to get impaled by a pipe that was hanging out of the back of a truck.

With some careful surgery, they made a full recovery.
