I wear my Omega Speedmaster 125 automatic chronometer, first batch 06-09/1973, on its original Bandolero steel bracelet. For years I have worn it on a gray silky-smooth crocodile bracelet that I kept buying in Spain. This was a very comfortable combination, as the crocodile strap tapered very elegantly, providing perfect support as well as making the watch much lighter.

theft of watches and smartphones (especially iPhones) is high in London and I hear in other capital cities in Europe. Crime detection is getting much more advanced and these thieves that hurt people will be caught thankfully.
Your rubber strap with holes is perfect for this speedmaster sport. Leather won't look good if you're asking me. This model was introduced for olympic games and such that's why the case has oval shape to mimic the stadium building but upside down just like the Z33 then they decided to call them Mark, like on your mark, get set, go. But the original one was smaller and thinner watch!

Grey croc strap would look very good. The Mk 2 is a super classic watch.

the mkII does not suit a strap my old version never looked right on one an this is no different a lovely piece leave it on the bracelet!
