Hey, Bro 2, thanks for watching! I would imagine that the 2 techniques in question have very little in common, possibly breathing, but most of the other jaw and tongue positions I imagine are not the same at all.

I would check either amazon or try to find a free pdf by doing a broader search on google. It is fascinating reading, but please remember, you cannot learn to sing by reading a book.
Hyper extending the jaw open tends to eliminate the ability for you to add any of your own tension. Also, in this technique, generally the higher the note, the more space is required. Notice I do not open so much on the low notes.

I would have to assume it is a completely different set of jaw and tongue positions, but the breathing should for the most part be similar.
