Some singers like me are totally lost because we don't have good teachers any more

Thank you very much for your lessons, Craig! I am a popular singer who got an interest in the theories of voice coming from opera!

honestly... the most impressive voice i've ever heard. I'm from Mexico and I habe never listen so much power and such a clear vowels.
I've been watching your LoMonaco series and they are really great videos, but I couldn't find the one dealing with jaw placement, i would love you to re-upload it.
Finally, I would love to keep watching more voices transformations (like the ones you have shown) and more "secrets" from LoMonaco technique.
wish you the best and hope you're well.

Craig. I really enjoy your postings. Quite a few years ago I trained with a teacher who was a student of Douglas Stanley. He also knew Tom Lomonaco and shared a recording of him with me in 1966. I was stunned by his vocal quality. You sound so much like him. My training did not go well. Too much tongue instrument. Too much dark falsetto. Excessive dropped larynx with dark hooty tone like my teacher. But hearing you and seeing you teach is a ray of sunshine. Although I am very old now, my tone has improved since listening and watching you. I look forward to hearing and learning more. Dr. Don Carlow, Canada

I have a question: when you sing, do you reach for the notes straight-on (like Birgit Nilsson) or do you slide/scoop a little?

Hello! Many thanks for the inquiry. For me, the only way is to hit the high note is immediately on the vibrato. It is vibrato that opens the note so that it arrives fully formed. In my opinion, any sliding or scooping is a waste of power. Corelli made it work beautifully! I was his biggest fan! But, the rest of us "civilians" would do better not to rely on what might end up being a crutch. Just my opinion. Many thanks again!
