They ain’t winning cup with core players that they have now. These core players don’t have what it takes to win the Cup. Great regular season players but not when it counts.
These guys are still a few years away. By then our core minus Fox and Laffy will be way over 30. Current core has proven it cannot we more than 10 games in the playoffs. Trouba eating 8 mil while playing 3rd pair D is the worst contract. He should not even be playing.

The Rangers do NOT have a Stanley Cup winning defense! Getting rid of Trouba and replacing him with Jones is not much of an upgrade. If we can't get the puck out of our def zone then our good scorers can't do their thing! They spend all the shift time chasing pucks in the d-zone until they are tired and off the ice. We need BIG STRONG d-men that can puck handle. They don't grow on trees but Drury fail to get any or the cost was too high. This will be another solid reg season but eventually a team like Boston or Florida will shove us out of the playoffs.
