I absolutely love the scene with Jod convincing his former crew. Even though he's been made their enemy for who knows how long, he still knows them by name, and knows them well enough to convince them.
Claimsies on the new ship indeed. This show is so well written, setting up everything rather than relying on magic coincidences or other deus ex machina situations. Of course they set up the hull demolition sequencer in Ep 2, but the recording of Captain Rennod also mentioned adding extra armor to the Onyx Cinder, and we saw a piece fall off when they landed on Lanupa, so even that wasn't just a throwaway gag. I love how distinct each of the kids are, and how each contributes to the group in their own way. It was really smart how she had Wim sand cast a replacement for the fuse, and it helped him gain confidence. That was also a smart technical detail on the part of the writers.
I love it when Joe came through the “manhole cover” clad in booty, hilarious. Jude Law was the perfect choice for that role. The kids are fantastic.❤ this show.

Guys, hope y'all will watch Creature Commandos. It's only 7 20-minute episodes this season, and is the first chapter in James Gunn's DC Universe, before Superman (2025).
This series is so much fun. I didn't expect out of three series released over the holidays ( this, Creature Commandoes,& What If?) this would be my favorite. I hope the rumored reshoots and delay release that lowered my expectations were because they realized they had something great and rewrote the finale so there'll be another season.

The big crab monster was done with "Stop Motion" practical effects.
Remember, Capt Rennod had said in his message that the Onyx Cinder was "clad in armor!"
