This is a while ago now so it's a bit foggy. It usually takes a couple full days to transcribe and a week or two to really memorize and have it down. Thanks for watching!
Big big-Thanks. Made it so much easier to learn. Took a day or two vs weeks. ❤️. The tabs out there i found were just wrong. Awesome. I need ro translate the solo section at end to something for acoustic. Will share when i do. Need a partner to play the ascending diminished run and lower the solo an octave or something but i’ll check back
Hey I'm doing this solo acoustic right now myself. I use a looper to do the end part. My looper has a long loop time so I can record the whole ascending part all the way to hold on the C chord. Then, for the solo, the loop just pays again. Would love to see what you came up with for the solo on acoustic. Even with a cutaway, it can be a challenge to play it as on the record.
Hey great question, I think of it as the key of Ab using the sixth diminished scale which gives you a dominant chord for the 5th and 3rd degree so the C major chord is accounted for. If you aren’t familiar with that scale and the concept I did a little introduction video: ua-cam.com/video/jIbpv-u6OMs/v-deo.html Thanks!
So so helpful and fun as always! The best man. Making life easy! Though question to everyone out there.. anyone know of a jam track thats good for this whole song or a track sans Trey? :-)
Hey Mack, it is and I love it! The only tweaks I made were to switch out the PRS pickups to put in Seymour Duncan 59’s and lowered the action. Other than that it’s a great guitar. Thanks for watching!
I really wish this were actual lesson like some of the other vids. YEM was quite helpful in a phriendly way. Who needs a book? the tabs are correct but its a bitch pausing every second and a half rinse rinse rinse repeat ad nauseum. Good job nonetheless
That was dope. I like how you just got up with swag while they are still singing.
I was holding on for dear life and just happy I made it to the end! Thanks for watching!
This is great. Thanks so much.
Absolutely!
Incredible work! How long did it take you to lock this song down if you don’t mind me asking?

You Sir, are THE MAN! Not NEARLY enough views!!! Maybe one day....when "Rift" is more popular than Drake.
Awesome job. Thanks for doing this. Gonna learn as much as I can of it tonight.
Thanks Dan, have at it!

@4:45 one of the coolest minor runs ever created
Myfe. Great channel man, appreciate you throwing your hard-work up here for everyone's benefit.
Absolutely, happy to help!
Would you say the basic premise of the solo is F aeolian with resolutions to the E (3rd) of the C chord to lead back to the Fm?
Really cool you used a slide for that part. So much cheaper than a whammy pedal and you've proven you can achieve the same sound.
Wow, this ain’t easy! Thanks for the help!!
Ha thanks man!
welp, if Trey ever quits we know who's first in line. Hell of an effort sir.
The chords part you think of it in Fminor? Except that C?

this is definitely a weird request, but if you could work out the licks in Prep School Hippie that would be so so so amazing
Ha right on...I’ve got a couple that I’m working on right now but I can check that out after!
Is that a CE24? How do you like it?

Hey there, thank you for the feedback. I will do a long form breakdown if you still need it. Thanks for watching!
