Ritsu going 100% was unexpected but such a good scene
Yeah I thought the percentage was internal mob, to think it was all a build up for ritsu 100%
I knew it was gonna happen as soon as I saw the percentage start building up. Mob’s powers were already going crazy. There was only one person there who that percentage buildup could’ve been for, and it was fantastic.

@@niteliniN Definitely. Teruki’s fight was more epic, for sure. The dude put up a way better fight against Mob than anyone else. I just loved the way that Ritsu was about to let himself get bodied by Mob to try and shock him back to normal. I love how everyone is coming together to try and stop him.

the reversal of expectations at the end was phenomenal. we were trained to think of the 'emotions meter' as shigeo's counter towards his outburst, but in this scene, it was ritsu who finally let go of his aprehension and fear of his brother's powers and instead embraced his role as the supportive younger brother. both kageyama brothers have been holding in their feelings in regards to the accident and we're getting a satisfying conclusion to how they are handling their respective trauma (with shigeo still not being quite there yet).
Ritsu wanting powers so Mob can finally be himself, show all his emotions, have a fight with his sibling and all. Great writing.

Suzuki telling Sho to flee together and Ritsu getting up to 100% are the highlights of this episode. Man, Suzuki thinking of being there for Sho is so admirable; and Ritsu's love for Shigeo is precious!
The development for Suzuki was so good despite the little screen time he had overall. In this episode he decided to rely on other people’s help instead of isolating himself again with his powers
One can literally write ritsu as a spin-off and I definitely watch it

God ritsu refusing to make him go through a traumatic experience cause he wants to be there for all of mob and not just his good side was such a beautiful thing, this didn't feel like brothers fighting but felt more like brothers showing each other a new side of themselves to grow closer
I love how badass this scene is just be blown back to reality that Ritsu just doesn't compare to Mob's powers in anyways
That 'reality check' just made it better honestly.
There's countless shows that make a power scaling asspull for the sake of making a point on a character's insight and/or resolve.
Ritsu's insight in particular is basically about being there for Mob and accept him in his entirety, even when he's at his worst.
If the mere statement would have him defeat his worst with literal psychic force in mere seconds, that would paint a deceptive picture.
And take away from the scene by misrepresenting the actual hardship it takes to push through and stay supportive during such a time.
I thought it just implied that even tho he may have comparable raw power, just awakening it isn't enough to stop Mob yet, but its a start. Kind of a nice way to represent their relationship, Ritsu's can't fully break through to Mob yet but he's at least accepted him in his entirety.
I mean that was Ritsu's 100% against mob's ???%, if it was against mob 100% it would have been a pretty equal fight imo
One thing i love about this is that ??? Or simply the real shigeo never really harms ritsu, he aprehends him with some kind of telekinesis, and even when he launches him up in the air, later we see him barely hurt on the floor, there's no signals of a crater under him so he didn't force ritsu against the ground either, really cool details.
This scene shows Ritsu actually has an insane potential. He had his powers for maybe a couple months and can push back, even if for a few seconds against an unleashed mob. Imagine what he could do in a couple years
He's still not touching mob's true strength
@@xnortheast1106 not yet at least, mob when he was a kid also had much lower capacity since the scene at the playground just shows minor destruction, which means his powers grew with time as well.
I'm not saying Ritsu will ever match him, but he definitely has the potential to be one of the strongest psychics ever, since even Toichiro couldn't do much to mob besides pushing him back for a minute or so.
And that's with just a couple months of having powers... And it's not like he could use them instantly, he was quite terrible at it in the beginning, so that's insane progress.
He even gave his mentor 1000%
@@aiheki I still feel like Ritsu won’t come close. All the strongest people in the series are those who were tapped into their psychic power since childhood. Kinda like comparing the potential of a gifted athlete who’s been training since their youth against a less gifted person who started much later.
Nerding about psychic powerlevels is exactly what this show *isn't* about.
Ritsu overcame his trauma to always be there for Mob as his younger brother. I was so surprised to see the countdown was for Ritsu going 100%. Brilliant episode, and I can't wait for the last episode of this show, one of my favorite anime ever, next week.
Honestly, the different aura effects of each individual psychic's power in this show are absolutely stunning. You can tell that OLM has overhauled the glow technology they used for all the Psychic type attacks in old Pokemon episodes.
Didn't think that about the studio, interesting.
Sad its ending, its been a good run boys this was an amazing series😭

I understand that this anime was never about being the strongest but man we'll never get to see the full extent of ??? Powers. He remained untouched for this entire anime just like Saitama. It's never been hurt

they're not "emotion based powers", the powers themselves are intentionally restricted by them because of their emotions.
To be clear on it, the percentage bar is a representation of how much Mob allows himself to feel an emotion. Due to a traumatic incident that happened in their youth, Mob started to repress his emotions since he believes that if he gets too emotional, he’ll hurt the people around him. It’s why he explodes as soon as the 100% hits, since he can’t repress his feelings any longer. Its such clever symbolism on why keeping your feelings to yourself can become self-destructive and explosive.

Who else understood that Ritsu was about to let himself get hurt at first so that "shock" would wake up Mob (hence the "sorry"), but decides against it finally because he doesn't want to give more trauma to his brother?
Realizing that the countdown was for Ritsu and not for Mob right before he hit 100% was one of the most rewarding feelings I've ever had watching a show. Such a beautiful last season.

An emotional scene, I love how their brotherly arc finally hits its peak with Ritsu's last stand, heart open and willing to help Mob out no matter what ;w;
btw, in this "fight" the song that plays is the same that played when Reigen went 1000% and the one on teruki was the same one that played on Mob vs Toichiro
I love how his 100% doesn’t come from fear of what mob would/could do,but instead from knowing if he where to get hurt from this mob’s trauma would be unrecoverable.
One of the best scenes in this season. Ritsu going 100% was so unexpected but I'm glad it happened.
This show, man. Is so much things in one. I think that the most remarkable is love. Ritsu reached 100% out of desperate and mad love for his brother. Thanks ONE for this characters!
The father must be a secret esper, there is no way both sons are this strong by rng
Maybe both the mother and father have super potent exper genes that are recessive, and their kids got both recessive copies lol (still rng in this case)
or he rerolled multiple times with multiple wives just because he wanted his kid to become a famous magician. definitely not headcanon

I swear mob has ne tearing up the show is unbelievably well written 👏 what a ride its been and it's sad it coming to an end but that's what makes it special can't wait for nex weeks episode!!!!!

I love how Ritsu is also capable of having a counter like Shigeo's and how Ritsu's powers kept that power to the point of being able to confront his brother's powers, it could be said that they are fairly equal in terms of Its powers.

Ritsu isn't and will never be on mobs level power wise.
Equal? Not even in the same dimension. This was just a temporary boost due to emotions. What ritsu produced is only a fraction of what Mob has. You can think of Ritsu as a lake

I was expecting Mob to do a battle of the minds, fighting his out of control self when the counter reached 100. I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be Ritsu's counter.

Dude... the title totally spoiled this scene for me. And it was amazing too. I really wish I had gone into it, not knowing that the percentage was for Ritsu. Would've made his powerful moment a lot more impactful for me.

I like how in these past episodes had beeing showing how mob had improved from that boy that is disconnected from evebody to someone that has really good friends and even former enemies that are willing to risk themselves to try to help him

It's always nice to watch an anime where the brothers actually love each other. Like hurting Ritsu caused Mob to go from 0 to a rapidly rising 50%.

He always thought reigen was using mob so he didn't like him and he thought the body improvement club was furthering mobs non reliance on his psychic powers so ??? also didn't care about them. With ritsu it's a different case, ??? has the same feelings for ritsu as shigeo does

I felt really weird about the ending of this series, so I went to youtube to watch some clips... and I just realised I skipped a whole episode
This adds so much more nuance because you see him meet more important people from his life and also see his fight within himself
Also, before finally watching this episode I thought that they just added a random scene of a helicopter and Suzuki's dad jumping out of it just to never show him again, bruh
those flowers are the strongest character in the series

I saw the counter going up throughout the episode, thought it was maybe mob again going beyond but nah it was ritsu. Absolutely loved the epic twist but i did hope ritsu wouldve won the fight or something similiar...
