Great to see all jobs completed on the RS4 Dean, it's been a great series and a real test on your patience I am sure.
Look forward to seeing the final video on this series, what an awesome car thanks Dean for you patience and determination.

brought and fitted this rad 9 months ago for precaution, athou the fins aren't as dense compare to the original one, but it still does the job with a great value.

I was wondering how you were going to address any oil loss from doing the change over but all covered . Great article. Can't believe Audi parts prices: more like Porsche where an OPC charged me £1200 to replace 2 air conditioning condensers on my 997.1 in 3/16. I recall in when in 1997, a year I bought my A3 Sport from my local VW Audi dealer I was sent correspondence that Audi were now to become a separate dealership within the VW Audi Group and a plush new showroom & service department opened in Liverpool. With all the platform sharing the change was just an excuse to charge Audi owners a premium for the same part sold at a Skoda/Seat garage next door.

I'm sure you know, but putting a tight belt in some hot water just prior to fitting can also help Dean.

It's great to see the RS4 finally finished Dean, sorry but I had a little chuckle when you were struggling to get in and out of the car, she sounds sooooo nice can't wait to see the test drive now its finished 👍👍👍👍

Please make content on the Passat. Too many people junk them because of the repair cost.

  • @davidlipski863

We have had our 2001 Passat since 2004 now on 190.000 miles have replaced the clutch and flywheel at 186.000 cost £550.00 and the front subframe 3 yrs ago. Best car i have owned just keep's going. These were the best of the Passat made up to 2005, still fetch strong money if under 80.0000 miles .If your keeping it it's worth the repair cost.

Thanks for another great interesting video and some tips on saving money especially the cost of that oil cooler from Audi (did they wear striped jumpers and a mask !!)

The grill on the right hand side as you were looking at it was falling out on the bumper. Needs clipping back in. 😊

Sounds superb when giving it a bit of a rev. Also, maybe some pipe insulation cut down the middle could be attached to the lift post edges to make life easier/stop damage to the doors?

I had the same problem with my c5 rs6, I can't remember what the cost from audi / tps was for the pipes and cooler but I do remember how much I laughed at them!
I ended up buying two separate coolers and got pirtek to make me some pipes! Worked out so much cheaper and fair better quality!

Any decent hydraulic hose shop can knock up those pipes. The hard pipe is a little expensive but the whole lot should be max £150. Probably less if you find a cheap shop.

So many different rads ! Audi parts prices are just insane probably why so many get written off after even a mild shunt. Great video as usual.

For future reference Pirtek will make those hoses. May be worth phoning for a price. They even have a mobile service.

I did speak to them, they said I would need to send them pictures of the couplings to see if they could make anything. That’s just not going to work... as I would be stripping the car sending pics. Then wait a few days for anything to happen which blocks the ramp up. Was just easier to get them from Audi 😥

No longer own an Audi: I did for years, culminating with a Q7, and the last service it had at a newly refurbished dealer had dozens of staff, number plate recognition, automatically opening workshop doors you drive into, a barista, free everything and Wi-fi.. I wasn’t impressed: all I could think of was how much I was paying for all this unnecessary crap.
Asi said, I no longer own an Audi.

Not even joking its an absolute shed its going to spend most of its remaining life getting fixed & shifted from owner to owner once each one gets fed up of spending money on it. This channel is great but its also a million reasons not to buy a german car absolute expensive unreliable pieces of junk.
