In todays video we strip down the damage on my Audi SQ5 plus to see how bad the fire damage is! - Авто та транспорт
Part number for the washer jets I used was 5G09559869B9 😊
Do you know if they will fit a Audi A3 8V ?
Anyone know if they fit on Audi A4 B6?
Cheers , ive got the exact same SQ5 Plus+ , Same colour 17 plate.... Please take that RSQ5 badge of the back , they DON'T exist...... YET😆🤫
A lot of people asking for the heated washer jets PN. I don’t have it to hand but will get it tomorrow and edit this post. So keep your 👀 peeled.
Thanks
I'd look out for some good used undertrays. If the rest of the car is fully sorted and mint, it would bug me knowing they were like that, and when you come to sell it'll stick out if someone really goes looking round at it.
Totally agree with this
I work on a company that makes wiring harnesses for CAT, CNH, etc. My advice and I hope you take it, is to replace the damaged wires if there are just plugged segments or the harness. Even if it's not completely melted the insulating material of the wires is no longer the same and it will degrade and not behave as it suppose to.
Except he already said it was not plugged, so he is going to cut it and join every wire. Did you not pay attention?
@@einfelder8262 Jesus dude hes just tryna help no need to get rude
@@Pabla98 Yeah - it's so helpful telling the guy to do what he has already said he was going to do - not. Perhaps he and his 10 similarly inattentive likers will pay attention next time, before they opine their instruction.
@@einfelder8262 you sound like an unhappy person
@@Pabla98 half correct, probably just British
Looks amazing. Great tip on the wind screen washers.
utterly unbelieveable a salvage company lift cars of high value with a forklift.
What do you suggest?
Great work. Looks fantastic in engine bay. Looking forward to seeing the rest.
Great job just shows a good clean can do wonders. And with the parts replaced you can’t even see there was a fire top job. Look forward to the rest of the rebuild on this one.
I'm really impressed how well the engine bay cleaned up 👍
Mate...Thanks for some good content..Engine bay looks mint..The bottom cover i would fibre glass it save on the money side...Can't wait for the rewiring as it would be interesting to see this done..Spot on fella
Lovely Jubbly video, I'd either repair or try and get second hand undertrays, think the DRL will probably have something to do with the fried wiring. Good luck with the rest of your project matey.
You have been very lucky Dean on this brilliant content keep up the good work.
Brilliant stuff Dean , what a little gem she is now! Looking forward to the wiring repair :)
I'd say try and source some second hand undertrays
Tempted to switch the washers on my SQ5+. Thanks for the VW Golf tip. Fingers crossed everything else goes smoothly for you.
Looks great so far glad you have got a good result this time and will look fantastic once complete.
Hello from NYC love ur vids, listen I would trim the edges and back it goes. I believe you will find them at a later day from a salvage yard anyway. Take care stay safe and keep on building.
Looking good Dean, thanks for the tip about the VW washer jets.
good job Dean it looks so much better already
I LOVE this colour. Great purchase - actually looking for one myself too. Good video. Hopefully an easy splice, wing touch up and you are good to go 👍
Nice cleaning, car looks perfect, waiting to see new episodes!
Looking good so far, and as you say minor improvements so all good!
Looking good! Great work Dean
Great video. Amazing car and what you’ve done with it in such short time. Look forward to the next video
Just subscribed to your videos. Very informative, put together well and edited. Nice one.
Great work, looking forward to the the next episode. Cheers from Sweden
Fantastic transformation to the top of the car, great to see
Amazing transformation to the engine bay looks brilliant now. Looks like the burn damage is not that bad overall. Think I would try to fettle those undertrays a bit and perhaps look out for some cheap ones on Ebay - who is going to actually see em? I hate the washer jets on our TT might investigate the VW version.👍
Coming along nicely. I've seen metal under trays online for cheaps. 👍💙
Engine bay looks amazing ! Looks like it’s going to be a cracking car!!
Thanks for the vid, looks like you got very lucky on the car 👍
Nice one Dean , that engine bay looks fantastic . I just know how the rest is going to turn out. Well
done mate . I was wondering what the plans are for that little red motor car are..... Cheers mate
Great video Dean engine bay is as new looking forward to the next update nice project.
Great video Dean. Lots of good tips on issues with Audi parts! They really know how to charge on slow moving parts don’t they? Interesting bit about the mileage fiddles and mileage retained in other modules. A car vertical check for £12 would also verify this and also any damage history. Looks like this one is your keeper 👍😎
Great work dude 👍
Thanks for the content, I've just used your carly discount for my Skoda Octavia VRS I've just bought.
Thanks mate! 🙌🏼
Wow what a transformation of the engine bay with a simple clean, Sepang blue really pops💙 👏🏼 👌🏼 😍
Very lucky there Dean! Good video as ever.
Absolute top job. Should be proud of the work u do.
I’ve seen you really struggle with juggling jobs and trying to fit in UA-cam, this time I think you’ve landed really lucky with this GORGEOUS Sepang blue SQ5 and I tell you what…it’s absolutely well deserved and I’m absolutely chuffed for you!!
Thanks Steven! 😊
Great video mate
Smashed it mate.. Looks amazing
Glad to see this hasn't gone bad for you and car looks great 👍 👌
Great job under the bonnet, looks like new 👍
I would replace the under trays if you are selling, if not then trim the burnt bits and seal with some resin, the corns don’t matter as it doesn’t look to have effected the mounting points.
Well done Dean looks good 👍
I love watching your vlogs mate
Have another look underneath at the back of the subframe… the steering column gaiter at the bulked looked a bit suspect 🤷
Looking good Dean, liking the car and I think you have dodged major problems so far mate
Literally and obviously another great video
Top end looks mint now mate 😀👍🏻
Great work with engine bay, look forward to next vid...
I’m really looking forward to seeing how you repair the wiring loom
Excellent work my guy! I I was living in the UK, I'd hit u up for that SQ5 when you're thru!
It's about time you had a bit of luck with a car, the engine bay came up a treat you did a great job, h hopefully the rest of it won't be too bad 👍👍👍
Enginebay looks mint, great job!
Definitely enjoying this series, only because I’ve got an SQ5 as well.
In regards to tuning - who do you think you’ll go with for that?
It's going to be a lovely car Dean well done
looking great!... I would also bleed the brakes as the brake fluid might have bubbled in that offside corner....10 minute job but peace of mind.
Great work
Beautiful car and colour, looks great mate.
Absolutely love a misty screen wash jet👌🏻
Looks very clean 👍
Looks great 👍, thanks for the washer jet tip ,I've an A4 quattro avant and they drive me mad, upgrade now 😁
Me 2. I’m looking to do the same with my A4 Allroad 2020. Do you know the vw part number?
Pls let me know how you get on
Looking superb.surely got to to change the trays?rest of it is to good not too
Like the color. Maybe you could do a price rundown when its done(?) And it would be fun with a full recap of what cars you have had on the channel since it started!
Top upload Dean! Do you have the part no for the washer jets? The ones on my A4 B8 are crap and I wouldn't mind replacing them for those. Cheers 👍
Looks like luck has been on your side with this one… it could easily have gone the otherway. Nice one 👍
Definitely repair the under trays and give them a bit of a spray in black. Looking forward to the wiring repairs!
Pretty lucky break on the damage 😉 For the wiring there's places like Vehicle Wiring Products that sell pretty much all the different coloured wires with trace colours so you can do a true like for like repair 😊 Good luck with all that fun wiring.
Good work, yeah I swapped out my washer jets for them on my a4 so much better 😀👍
My engine bay was the same when i bought mine, not soot right enough. But i cleaned it and what a difference it made. Looking good though, very interesting. I totally agree with you about the washer jets, what is the prt number for the fan style? I want to get a set for mine.
Love your channel and also watch Salvage Rebuilds UK. Wonder why you don’t get parts from scrapyard, as they do. They seem to get parts amazingly cheap.
Awesome bud 👍🏻
Cars coming on ok Dean, didn't think the damage looked to bad, keep the under trays and try and repair them, nobody's going to see them anyway, wish it was mine !!, Well done.
Safe to say you got a good stroke of luck there with the damage and personally I wouldn't bother replacing the undertrays I'd try to repair them if that didn't work just get some second hand ones from the breakers
10000% vouch for the crap washers from audi. My rear one hasn't worked for years, even after blasting the lines and the old pin trick. Will be ordering one off a golf, thanks Dean!
Great looking Q5
Hi Couldn’t help but notice that the Q5 doesn’t come with drilled and grooved brake discs thats surprising. It’s incredible that fire damage wasn’t actually far worse. Good luck with the refit I’m sure you’ll get car back to it’s former glory soon.
The wiring may have heat damage. May cause the wire to break internally. I personally would cut the wire back and replace any suspect wiring
If you'd bothered to pay attention to the video, you'd know he said that he will do exactly that.
Nicely done sir! Are you worried about the inner wing rusting if its damaged the paint on the outside its probably missing protection inside, will the wing need to come off? cheers
Looks great one lucky boy there keep them coming brilliant
looks much better fella got lucky with this one lovely car
Engine bay looks mint, should be a good runner when it’s finished. Nice job
Great job, you may have got a bargin :), good tip on the washer jets do they also fit the A6's 2017 model
I'd just use those undertrays for now and keep an eye on different breaker websites for new ones. Veedubs in Gateshead sometimes have stuff for topend audi and vw in stock.
Can't believe how good ot looks under the bonnet. Hopefully woring goes easily in the next video and you will have a noce car on your hands
Beautiful car mate, colour is gorgeous.
Looks really nice that engine bay and interior. find some used undertrays
Where are the washer jets from part number etc want them for my Q5. Good work as always.
Not a clean freak, but how satisfying. Great content Thanks
Looks well mukka hope ya got it for a good price!! Fault drive or been sold when fixed
I need to get me those mist jet washers for my SQ5, those are great, thanks for the idea. Which year is your SQ5?
With the other plastic panels you've got to replace I'd definitely get some under trays. It will look like half jobs been done otherwise in a buyers eyes matey
Undertrays, either trim off the burnt bit and remount as they are, or try and repair with some fibreglass repair
Looks great 👊👊
Lovely car that, you’ll have that sorted in no time 👍🏻
Make sure you get a genuine Audi drive shaft boot. Aftermarket boots are no good, the rubbers stretch and you will end up replacing them again with genuine ones. You can get just the CV boot including all clips and grease for £50. CV joint at the wheel is £395. Driveshaft complete is £575. These prices were for the rear, so the front may be the same or a bit more 😉
The SQ5 is a great car to own, just an all round does everything car. Been lucky enough to have one myself 🙂
Nice one! What's the hole in the back of the engine cover? Not the oil fill cap hole.
Hi Dean! As you mentioned, carly works like a dream! Look, can you post the part number of the golf washers? I have a Q3 and suffer from the same sh*tty design! Would change it as well!
What’s the part number for the washer jets please, I’m going to change them over on my Audi
I would like to know the part code for these as well that fit the Q5/SQ5. Might be interested in swapping mine out. But never really had a problem with the jet style ones.
