Paper as a paintbrush. Mark Making Techniques with Paper. *Art Vlog

Hello Friends
Last week I added a raw umber glaze to the whole painting to deepen the entire piece to give me some dark areas to better show off the highlights. I want to keep the mark-making soft so this week I am using Golden Glazing Fluid again mixed with my usual color palette. To keep the paint like a glaze I decided to use paper instead of paint brushes to paint the acrylic paint onto the canvas surface. You could say I'm using paper as a paintbrush. Using a glaze mix on the paper to deliver the paint to the canvas gave surprising and beautiful marks. I guess it is like a transfer or stamping technique. I am so excited to share these happy accidents of using paper as a paintbrush. I hope it inspires you to try this technique of painting with paper.
