That sounds like a scam to me really. They are trying to go after people who want to keep their domain name.

It’s a juggling act for sure in the market place of the internet. It’s a challenge to be a creator and have that mental and emotional space within yourself to create while battling all the practical problems and hurdles that come along in making a living from your passion. Go Daddy also hosts my domain so I actually decided to host my website through them. So far, I am very pleased with the platform. Thanks for the heads up and sharing.

One thing I noticed is that the copyright line is above the artwork when you to go to the Shop section. Usually it is part of the footer. Not sure if you intended that. Your website looks very beautiful, clean and bright. I was wondering if these are original art pieces you are packing here or prints?

Your work is so amazing I wonder if it wouldn't be a good idea that you allow a gallery to represent you. Your work is amazing!!!!! So beautiful, you would have no problem being in a gallery and it would free you up!!!!

I agree with you, that changing links and names, causes a lot of problems. However, you have a broader usage with the word ART. The art you do will real much broader, that your name.

I would never use WIX! Ever! They are run by dodgy people !!!! The rescue one just bought your domain on the expiration date, a bit like when the internet started and people registered company names to sell them back, greedily. I have used register365 in Ireland and trust them very much. Our your renewals in auto renew and there is no issue like this.

Always always read the fine print. It takes long but it could save you.

Great idea! Yes sales improve when the cuatro touches the product. In high end stores that pay commissions, the staff will put an item into your hands if they sense your interest.

This happened to me a few yrs ago because of a google snafu. My gmail got locked and my domain was with google domains, now defunct. I couldn't renew and one of these domain squatters got it. This was a dude, not an agency. He started emailing me trying to sell back to me for a high price. Would not negotiate and I was pretty upset at him and this practice I knew nothing about. So after a few emails back and forth, I told him where he could stick MY domain. Well, dude was pretty stupid and I am not so his scam didn't work out. NOBODY would want my domain even though it had great presence online bc my domain is specific to me only. A year or two later, a domain squatting agency apparentlly got it. There was an auction and even though I was waiting to bid, they do their scams internally. I lost again. I tried to reason with this agency. No go. They wanted trademark info. I don't have. Google was no help at all. They will have you run around in circles and it goes nowhere. To spare my nerves, I moved on. Got a new domain but kept watching my former one. These agencies, I am sure, have this process automated so, again, no one wanted my domain. After a good while, the domain was free. LOL and I got it back. But now I have 3 domains I pay for. And they are all good. So I have each one pointing to a shops, and my blog.

Hello, I'm also an artist and I'm seeing so much of these issues lately... I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't start a business helping other artists survive that mess... If you need anything, don't hesitate to message! It really sucks to lose everything when it comes to google referencing, SEO, and all the work that is behind this...

I had similiar with vista print website then wix took over and my domain expired it was complex I think I was meant to renew I just let them keep it as it was going to be very expensive and felt id lost control of it bit muddy I found so just washed my hands of my domain name, I haven't got a website now and had very little traffic to my old website anyway. I use Facebook, instagram you tube to show my art and stuff word of mouth is often the best and fayres it does take time for website setting up Ill get round to it next year but not are I have a folksy platform for selling some art and crafts I need to upload more to it all takes time.

I have an account with them but I hadn't used it in a long time and had forgotten what other services they offer, so that was nice to hear that they also offer greeting cards w the cellophane envelopes. Isn’t it so fun to create your marketing ideas, execute them and then see them come to fruition. There is something inside me that bursts with joy when I see my artwork on cards, bookmarks, etc. Your artwork looks absolutely beautiful on all of this! What a fun video to watch. How much is a cup in Australia? In Sweden if we see an old recipe with cup in it we assume it is a coffee cup and that was about 1.5 dl if it say Tea cup it is about 2.5 dl. When I seach I see an english cup is 2.8 dl and an american is 2.4 dl.

Selina, I read this with interest as I am an oil stick user and I have three extra large tubes of oil paint that I ordered by accident. This seems to me like an opportunity to try this out. I am wondering if there is any chance this would work with soy wax? You probably haven't tried it, but may know of so who has? I ask because I have a bag of sky wax I bought to do batiks and it is still sitting here unused. I suppose I could must try it and see, but I would prefer to know if it would be a waste of time. Thanks.
