    I’m so happy with the DIY pond and love to see it develop! Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do! Let me know what you think and what we should do with the baby fish? Leave them be? Save some more? Build them a grow out tank? Or something else? Let me know!

      I am very happy for you.
      It is very nice to see how much progress this beautiful Pond has made. It certainly has developed into a remarkable Pond for sure since the video I watched that you did last year.
      You could use clay pots, A.K.A Terracotta pots. They are nice to look at as they are more natural.
      Thankyou very much for sharing.
      Have a nice day andtakecare. . 🤙🏼🙂🤙🏼❤️

    Where did you keep the pump inside the intake tub? Were you buried inside the pebbles?

    • @CrunchyFern
      @CrunchyFern  4 місяці тому +1

      The pump is inside the trashcan I surrounded with the pebbles!

    Amazing progress, a group of siamese algae eater also helps in my experience. They are also very peaceful. Hope to see the fries growing up well!

      Thank you! How wel do the siamese algae eaters do with cold? The pond freezes over during the winter so I can’t keep tropical species.

      I forgot about the weather, yes I don't think they can survive the winter. But anyhow, the pond is getting better already and hope it stays the same.

    You've created a thriving ecosystem with your own effort. Have you thought about including any kind of amphibian? Greetings from Chile

      Thank you so much! There are a few frogs that moved in on their own, but other than those I won’t be adding amphibians. My cat likes to hunt and I’m already nervous for the fish and the frogs haha

    I also want to do same but I worry about the winter
    Here the temperature goes down to 10 degree Celsius

    • @CrunchyFern
      @CrunchyFern  4 дні тому

      That should be no problem at all! Here temperatures will be right around freezing during the winter months. As long as you make your pond deep enough and do your research on what fish you can keep everything will be fine. For my pond the fish are all fine with a couple of cold months, but they’re not able to properly digest food during the colder months so I won’t feed them during winter. Again make sure you do your research but there are definitely options for you out there!
