Breaking through that front window in your apartment is one of the best reveals / plot twists I’ve ever seen
You can actually break through the fish tank instead for a different version of that reveal
I just wanted to see what would happen when I hit the fish tank in the hallway lol. Then there was no water and another halfway behind it lol

One of the best things about Prey is the art direction. A perfect blend of 1920’s high-art deco style with futuristic technology. I am deeply saddened that no one makes furniture or architecture like they do in this game and I want to live on Talos I - sans Typhon, of course.
One of the best games of not only the 2010’s but all time it really makes me sad it sold so badly and will never get a sequel 😢
Now it definitely won’t get a sequel now that Microsoft shuttered Arkane Austin. Fucking ruthless. :(
First Control and then this... You're playing the coolest metroidvania weird sci-fi games almost back to back and I'm all here for it!
Prey is what you call an Immersive Sim game. Same with Dishonored 1 and 2, which are also made by Arkane.
The Deus Ex series are also immersive sim games. So are the System Shock games. Some of the Hitman games you could consider to be immersive sims as well.

It definitely has backtracking similar to a metroidvania
Either she has a surprisingly well behaved chat or excellent mods. I generally bail on twitch playthroughs early on as chat spoils everything but either chat was not spoiling or her mods were doing a great job. So thanks to either the chat or the mods or both. That earned my twitch prime sub.
Both of those things are probably true, but also from what I've seen of Let's Preys/Prey-throughs (I've watched quite a few - more than a dozen full ones now) people who have played Prey respect the game and don't want to spoil any of the plot.
The game is one giant personality/psychology test, so spoiling the story would indeed make it less enjoyable to watch.
Super happy to catch you playing this game now, it's definitely a super slept on title imo. I wish this game had gotten the attention it deserved when it was new.

If you like the gameplay style of this game, then you might like other immersive sims games. Dishonored 1 & 2 by this same company as this game, are also immersive sim games. Other popular games in the genre: Deus Ex series, System Shock Series, some of the Hitman Games. Highly recommend the Dishonored games in particular.
I started Prey when it came out, for about 2 hours, but then a billion other things happened in life for the next 7 or whatever years and just resumed last week. Now I'm like 15 hours in and wanted to see what someone else's first impression was. It was fun to watch 😊 I think you did better than I did lol

This game is so good. Imagine if we got a sequel to this (or Dishonored) instead of Redfall.

Prey is such an awesome, intrigging and suprising game. I only played it for the first time like a year ago and I still think about it. Definitely in my top 10 games ever played. It's the best technology/sci-fi game for sure.
This is one of my favorite video games, I'd buy a PS5 version if one was available.

Always loved the intro to this game! It's such an amazing immersive sim. Arkane rules! It's a bit old, but one of their more unique games is a gem called "Arx Fatalis". Super unique setting!
The rune system was crazy! I wish more games had something similar or in vr
@@TheWeedEclipse Agreed, it was a neat idea! Very memorable setting in general. For anyone interested, check out Arx Libertatis, which is a port that requires the game, but it modernizes it and makes it run well on current systems. Kinda like Daggerfall Unity in a way :)

Please take your time and look around more. You missed a LOT of stuff in the apartment simulation lab and the helicopter room.Computers with important story info, devices you can turn on and off, lore stuff etc.
Nooooo why lower the difficulty. I know you said you had nothing to prove but more challenge is always fun
