Biologist here: the reason why the horn is not in half, is bc it already is a bone like structure, so if you cut in half would just be hollow (as ox horns) or be solid as bone (as deer horns).

Buut, Mlp is not a real Show so this doesnt count for it. But i can explain what it whould look like. Inside the Horn of a Pony is a Core which is connected to the Brain and that is Covered by a Hollow Bone. The Core provides and Channels the Magic created by a special Section in the Ponys Brain and the Outher Bone protects it. Thats why Tempest Shadow in the Mlp Movie cant do normal Magic anymore, her Core is Broken.
The one thing to keep in mind on the Fluttershy figure; that is her canon design. If they had positioned the hair on the other side, they would have made it hard to see the skeletal system - and they'd be skewing the character model. I really wanted Rarity to be my favorite (I'm with you, I really liked her pose!), but honestly I think the Twilight figure was the best one. Id love to see a "creepy" factor added to the sparkly design! I love the way it looks, but I think they really missed the mark by not painting the skeleton! ❤️

There's no "work" really, they just make a mold and fill it with the materials they need over and over again, that's why they have so many imperfections. The quality is bad as hell, none looks good (except for the glitter special) and $13 for each it's a waste of money.

They're mass produced merchendise. To get a figurine that is made very well you should expect to pay at least twice as much. I feel like in general with time people started expecting top shelf products for low to middle shelf price.

I like a lot of collectable figures including re-ment which actually 1 blind box of re-ments also cost between 9 to 15 usd. Have you seen the cuality of rements, funcos and pop mart? I also bought the normal small mlp figures for a friend like 3 years ago, and the where like 3 usd and they have no cuality issues and same painting stile and size. I don't spect this toys to have nendoroids cuality, but at least with that price they shouldn't have all that damage.
Hello! You’re friendly neighborhood vet tech here! Horses are my specialty, since I’ve learned about them since I could read and I’ve owned horses for seven years. Horses have an enlarged cecum (portion of the large intestine) where they digest most of their food. What you’re seeing in the back is most likely the cecum/large intestine! As for the other bones, I was happy to see that they were mostly correct, with a couple small details that were wrong, but hey, they’re cartoon figurines, so I can’t blame them! Fun fact: horses are actually walking on their “fingertips”. If you compare their bones with ours, where our wrist is anatomically is what looks like their knee on their front legs. (That second bend in their leg) from there on is metacarpal and phalanges, what we commonly call our finger bones. They just have one set in each leg, as opposed to us, who have five sets. Same with their back legs. Their hock is our ankle bone!

In my calculations Jackie, you wasted around $60.. because if each box was $13 and you spend $240 for a 12 pack.. 13 x 12 = 157 so yeh.. plus the damage ;-;
Don’t forget the conversion since she’s in Canada. The figurines themselves are about $206 Canadian dollars. Not too bad but shipping to Canada is unnecessarily expensive. That’s where the loss was.
Weren't the specials rather disappointing? The translucence and glitter aside, they look less interesting and have less effort and work put into them, than the ordinary version. I wish they had put the bone structure , opaque, into the mold and have the rest as see-through etc. At least, make the special more worked though and worth being a special other than it's rarity.

I'm not really fond of the way that they did the skeletal "wings". Wings should have bones that extend from the main piece. I just think it would be a nice detail to have.
Maybe ponies have weird wings Like ik it would be cool to see a skeletal structure that's different but ALSO like imagine the possibilities. Maybe they're lifted by magic, or the wing is made of muscle that flexes and grows stiff Or maybe it's like that putty stuff that gets harder the more force is on it
the skeletal structure of a wing is actually very similar to an arm; there's only one "line" of bones like in the figures. the rest is muscle and feathers.

I think it'd be cool if companies had grab bags for products that came out a bit defective for a cheaper price. But they say it upfront that the stuff isn't their best work. That way the lesser quality things don't go to waste, and people can still get toys for a cheaper price. I know many etsy stores do this.
The box set on the website guarantees that you get the regular Mane 6 figures, and the other half of the box is random, so aside from rares, it's expected that you'll get dupes.

Pretty sure the reason that North American blind box cases consist of a lot of duplicates is because they're typically sold to stores for individual sale. They're not typically sold to individuals.
Well, also, your chances of getting rare figures are clearly explained in the description: “Will you get the rare Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle (Enchanted), or the ultra rare Rainbow Dash (Wonderbolt)? Increase your chances with a tray of 12! With a 1/24 chance for the rares, and 1/48 chance for the ultra-rare, you might be the lucky one to get them all!” It’s not their fault she didn’t, by her own admission, read the description. 🤷♀️
When there are only 6 figures available, with a low chance of getting a rare variant, it makes sense to get 6 or less doubles. If they came with all the chase figures, they wouldn't be rare. That said, that makes it kind of silly to have the boxes come with 12 figures. It may as well be just a box of 6, guaranteed mane 6, and possibility of one of them being chase. If you wanted all of them, and got a chase, you could then go out and either buy them individually, or get a second case of six. So doing it this way absolutely makes people get more than they need, which means they spend more than they would have had to, had it just been the 6. All of that being said, they do make the cases for easier shipment to toy stores, so the stores can sell them individually.
It makes sense from the company's point of view, but I despise it as a collector. Like Jackie, I much prefer the Japanese practice of getting a complete set in a box - makes for a better customer experience and, most importantly, I don't need to go and fill up the wallets of scalpers if I want all the variants.
Nope I think it's a different color, see our skin color is not the same color as our blood- yet it's supposed to be green when it's exposed to air ect it's red. Don't know how ponies work but that's what I guess

The fact that you got 12 and there are only 6 originals meant that 4-5 would be doubles unless there were triple or more. Special figures aren’t very special if you get a lot of them. 1-2 is probably the most you’ll get IF you get any. That’s the surprise part. Also I’m not really a MLP fan but those are really cool! I kinda want them. Thankfully I’m a good adult who doesn’t just buy what she wants just because she wants it. I adult good 👍

I just went google eyed seeing Rarity. She's my favorite. Alongside Fluttershy and Applejack of course. That's actually accurate to Fluttershy's character since she hides behind her hair when she's shy.

If you wanted all of them, and got a chase, you could then go out and either buy them individually, or get a second case of six. So doing it this way absolutely makes people get more than they need, which means they spend more than they would have had to, had it just been the 6.
All of that being said, they do make the cases for easier shipment to toy stores, so the stores can sell them individually.

It makes sense from the company's point of view, but I despise it as a collector. Like Jackie, I much prefer the Japanese practice of getting a complete set in a box - makes for a better customer experience and, most importantly, I don't need to go and fill up the wallets of scalpers if I want all the variants.

The fact that you got 12 and there are only 6 originals meant that 4-5 would be doubles unless there were triple or more. Special figures aren’t very special if you get a lot of them. 1-2 is probably the most you’ll get IF you get any. That’s the surprise part.
