For what it's worth, American dollar stores don't have a whole lot of variety. The stuff you're saying you could just get at the dollar store, you can't here in America. So those prices seem a lot more in line with what I would expect to see here! :)
I see that things she's claimed it she's found at the dollar store at the Dollar Tree and other things is at five and below. They are cheap stuff that shouldn't be added to a mystery box imo
Our town has a Dollar Tree and about 6 other type of "dollar" stores (some don't hold to the $1 only price tag). But I've seen every one of those candies at some point in my town for around $1. I guess it varies a lot from store to store. 👍😁
@@lauracavanaugh7466 It varies from region to region too. My city doesn’t have a Five Below store and only has Dollar Tree. Not true in my area. We have a lot of that stuff at our Dollar Tree. All the candy but the worms and pickles. Not the slime but the speaker and pens, yep. So not worth it
Okay crazy Aaron’s putty is actually an incredibly good putty and I’m surprised that that one didn’t come with a little black light because normally they do if their glow in the dark. Also the solid glow ones are usually harder than the normal ones I’ve found so that’s perfectly normal. Also the glow on those putties are absolutely amazing if charged under black light or sunlight like any other glow thing. As for the heat aspect of it I think it needs a little more heat, like breathing on it, or something. Either that or the color it changes to isn’t the best choice because it’s so close to the original.
I'm a big fan of Crazy Aaron's, but the hardness is a lot to work through at first. Adding small amounts of hand lotion while you knead can help soften it quicker.
I have the scarab one and my 2yo and I love it. I’ve got RA and it’s fantastic when I have pain and feel like I need to crack my knuckles but can just keep kneading and kneading until the feeling goes away. And the fact that it bounces and there’s 0 mess is why I love it for my son 😊

I would rather play the lottery than buy a mystery box. It’s only like $2 per week and while that adds up over time, it’s very easy to find an extra $2 every week. My dad has been buying lottery tickets every week for as long as I can remember. He usually spends like $10 a week.
those smencils are about 4 dollars EACH in my country retail price.... and cost about 2 dollars apiece for my former store (a book shop) to buy in. RIP. Awesome that you can get them at a dollar store over there but they're pricy elsewhere!
I live in New Zealand and (it was probably a different brand but they look the same) I bought a pack of those pencils for like $10 like 5 years ago. I remember I gave a pencil to all of my friends.
I have a couple of Crazy Aaron’s Putty thingies, you just have to knead them, over time they will soften, they also need SUNLIGHT, to charge up the glow in the dark.
When Jackie said that she couldn't think of anyone in her family who want a FOOD THEMED giant lip balm, I was like, "does Sika not exist anymore?" (This is just a joke no hate to Jackie her videos always make me very happy)
Honestly, the Thinking Putty is awesome. It works really well with a uv light, and it softens up really nicely when you knead it. Also, it never dries out!! 😉 The rest of the stuff I agree about, though.
I have just received the Not another crap kit and it’s wonderful. Thank you so much. I’m currently waiting for a kidney transplant and I needed something to take my mind off what has become my normal. I’ve never really done anything art related so it was something different for me to do. It was so much fun and so easy. I highly recommend this kit to anyone wanting to get into art. Thank you so much for your wonderful channel and for making me smile.
Hun, I have to point something to ya. Canadian stores are different then US stores...what you may find in Canadian dollar stores wouldn't necessary be found in US dollar stores because some of this stuff I've never seen in a dollar store. Plus! Prices also differ as well from state to state because of the county's own tax.
I have one of these slimes and you have to play with it for 10-20 minutes to make it change colour fully, it's a great brand though and it's only stiff when you play with it after opening.
You should have Sika try the snacks, and BBQ Larvae. XD Also, you could give ArtSnacks a try, it’s a subscription box that you get with art supplies that are new and not in stores yet. So you get the new art supplies before it appears in stores.
Let's just stop doing whatever we're doing for a moment and let's just appreciate that Jackie and Sika are not telling lies about craft kits like if the craft kit is bad, they just say it's bad (in the trash!), let's thank them for being honest because nowadays in this world it's really rare 💜 #alllovegoestojackie #feedsika
I love it when I get the notification saying you have uploaded, especially on Fridays as you upload about an hour before I start work, gives me something to watch and a reason to relax before chaos ensues ^-^
I thought the mealworm snacks were pretty neat. Edible insect candy is really hard to come by and usually really expensive (not 50 dollars though). So even if it was not what you were looking for it is a nice weird snack. 15:20 Edit: I would definitely eat bugs over anything pickle flavour, I hate pickles, I already get nauseous when my partner opens the pickle jar on the other side of the room.
That's therapy grade putty & quite beneficial if you need to strengthen your hands or wrists following an injury or surgery or recovering from an illness that causes muscle loss.
I got the mid tier for my husband for Christmas. There was almost nothing fun or weird in it. The best/most expensive thing was a slushy cup the broke after 2 uses and is hell to clean. They gave us a deck of cards, some candy, a pop it keychain and a cheap bubble blower that you use your own mouth for with those long lasting bubbles. It really wasn't worth it. I was hoping for something weird to try or cool to keep.
I guess the quality can really vary. In this video the small and large boxes we’re very good but I thought the medium one would be worth it.since it’s overstock the stuff in them will be changing all the time so sometimes you’ll get really good stuff and sometimes you’ll get bad stuff.
Getting the Archie McPhee mystery box can be awesome or boring, depending on the month. They are overstock, and you do get multiples. They are great if you want a stash of stuff to give away at Halloween with the candy, because there is usually a bunch of rubber bugs and other small bits that the kiddos love. Would love to see Jackie and Sika open an Archie McPhee box!
crickets are delicious so I would definitely be trying the mealworms! LOVE the 'angry' monkey but yea, just saw those mystery flavor Twizzlers at Walmart for $2.58...super curious as to what flavor it is tho!
Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty is amazing (the magnetic putty is my favorite!), but I only ever buy it directly from their website. I feel like that's the only way to know you're getting product that hasn't been sitting in a warehouse for who knows how long.
I live in Mississippi (southern US), and we have a couple dollar stores in our town. And I have seen every one of those candies at our Dollar Tree store at some point, and most on a regular basis. They are not worth the prices that Vat19 listed. Hope this helps. I agree that except for the middle box, the others weren't worth it. 😁
Y'all have smencils at the dollar store!? We used to have them as a luxury thing in Aussie primary schools (Grade Prep/0 to 6) they were kinda like a scholastic book fair thing where you had to order them specially to get them and they were THE coolest thing you could get and definitely were not a dollar 😅
I wonder if the bigger boxes don’t sell well enough to justify their own boxes. Most people who get mystery boxes are going to spend as little as possible because they’re afraid of wasting money, so it would make sense if the small box is the biggest seller.
I have to point out I love that she warned people about the dog having a scary face when she did it I don’t mind but for some people scary things are triggers so great job nerdycrafter I appreciate you doing the small things that’s amazing ☺️
The pencils and erasers were probably at the dollar store because they couldn't sell them and Dollarama bought any they didn't put in mystery boxes, out at a discount.
My favorite is the teeny tiny PacMan game. I'd say it was the lip balm, but it's second because of childhood trauma. When I was about 8, my friend at school brought in a giant strawberry Lip Smacker, which at the time were by Bonne Bell. The great thing about the ones back then is they came with a loop on the top and a string so you could wear it. I begged her to let me borrow it for the weekend, and she did. Her mom called my dad and said she wanted to get it back. My dad told me in front of my grandmother that I had to give it back and I burst into tears. He said we couldn't afford one for me, and my grandma was "not allowed to buy me one either". I cried and cried, and clearly never go got over it because I now "collect" lip balms and have for about, hmmm, math time, over 40 years now. So Dad, lesson I learned: deny your child a simple thing now, create a hoarder later. LOL. * cries a little *
Those smencils brought me back so many memories, back in my elementary school they would sell them as like a fundraiser for the school, and every popular kid had one :]
I saw the Thinking Putty and I got really excited. I love that stuff. I got some while we were stuck in that children’s hospital to help with pain and I ended up LOVING it. I have one that smells like rosemary. It’s really relaxing. That tiktoker who goes “hello my priends” would use that lip balm. The small and ultra boxes were pretty disappointing.
That brand of putty actually come in different levels of hardness. Goes from very soft to very hard. I got one that was medium and it helps a lot for me who struggles with stress, GAD and panic disorder. Medium works for me because I want to use a lot of strength to get my stress out but I also don't want it too hard.
I was really waiting for you to be impressed by the thinking putty but wow that color change was underwhelming, i guess it was their least popular one! Because I’ve had both color change and glow in the dark (separate) and they were both amazing
I’d love it if Jackie and Sika did some sort of art or craft with tiny hands! Like painting would be easy but what if you used markers or crayons, or even tried to sculpt with them? Or since autumn and harvest time as well as spooky holidays are coming up, it could be a theme, harvest/spooky holidays themed. I admit, I just want to see Jackie do stuff with tiny hands, I love her energy.
Hope you're doing well! Also got your craft box today and can't wait to start working on it, have a few ideas already, now jsut so see which one sticks first!
Don't knock the Larvets! I don't know about the BBQ flavor, but I've had their ranch flavored ones. They're actually good! You don't taste a "bug", you just taste the flavoring. They're crunchy (like a chip). I bought them because my daughter and I tried them as a "free sample" at an educational museum, and liked them enough to buy our own at the gift shop. Also, I get the Cookie Dough Bites at my local dollar store. So not worth the $3.99 price tag that Vat19 is putting on them.
so i have a collection of those crazy arons puttys and the colorchange only works if you play with it for 15- 20 minutes and o make the putty glow in the dark brighter you have to hold it up to a bright light to basically charge it up

I live in New Zealand and (it was probably a different brand but they look the same) I bought a pack of those pencils for like $10 like 5 years ago. I remember I gave a pencil to all of my friends.
I have a couple of Crazy Aaron’s Putty thingies, you just have to knead them, over time they will soften, they also need SUNLIGHT, to charge up the glow in the dark.
well I've got to admit, this is better than random wires and home materials
That's my new catch phrase: You must admit, it's better than random wires!
@@lazyhomebody1356 yes :D
When Jackie said that she couldn't think of anyone in her family who want a FOOD THEMED giant lip balm, I was like, "does Sika not exist anymore?" (This is just a joke no hate to Jackie her videos always make me very happy)
You’re super considerate, Jacky, even if it comes to scary faces and random beetles showing up in your box! 👏😄
i’m really sick rn and u and sika are comforting me a lot ty
vat 19 is like "here's a bug enjoy!" Lol😂😂
Honestly, the Thinking Putty is awesome. It works really well with a uv light, and it softens up really nicely when you knead it. Also, it never dries out!! 😉
The rest of the stuff I agree about, though.
Plus! Prices also differ as well from state to state because of the county's own tax.
omg smencils!! i haven’t seen those since i was a kid. i was sooo jealous of people who had them! i’m glad you guys have it in your dollar stores!
I have one of these slimes and you have to play with it for 10-20 minutes to make it change colour fully, it's a great brand though and it's only stiff when you play with it after opening.
You should have Sika try the snacks, and BBQ Larvae. XD
Also, you could give ArtSnacks a try, it’s a subscription box that you get with art supplies that are new and not in stores yet.
So you get the new art supplies before it appears in stores.
I love how Jackie used “science” as an excuse for keeping the slime 😂😂😂
I totally would take the oversized lip balm. I like to collect oversized items. It's fun.
Let's just stop doing whatever we're doing for a moment and let's just appreciate that Jackie and Sika are not telling lies about craft kits like if the craft kit is bad, they just say it's bad (in the trash!), let's thank them for being honest because nowadays in this world it's really rare 💜

When nerdecrafter said look away till I say if u are scared of scary faces * nerdecrafter: forgets to tell people u can look again
Ironically, the mealworms would be the most worthwhile for me. Birbs would eat the heck out of them after I rinse them off first
I was thinking the same thing my quails love mealworm's 😅🐦
My Quaker and parakeet love them too!!!
I love it when I get the notification saying you have uploaded, especially on Fridays as you upload about an hour before I start work, gives me something to watch and a reason to relax before chaos ensues ^-^
I would get the giant chapstick as a gag gift for someone who loses their chapstick all the time lol 😂😂
I’m thinking of getting it 🤡💀
I'd totally buy one for my mom bc she's always carrying a chapstick with her and she goes through them very quickly lol
Ahh I thought you said eat the giant chapstick…..
Very specific issue though
I know what I’m getting for Christmas then
I’m not hating but honestly I got TRIGGERED by the way Jackie talked about the slime and putty…eeeeeeeeeeeee!
The hands thing are cool but what if you’re a different race that’s one thing they should of considered, love the video though Nerdecrafter! ❤️
I never get tired of the fact that everything thrown sounds like glass shattering lol
same lol
Yeah its awesome lol
I love the sound
I thought it just sounded like a lot of things falling over
me to
I thought the mealworm snacks were pretty neat.
Right there with you. Meal worms over pickles is an easy choice for me!
@@khills Mealworms AND Pickles for me!
Hope you got a good-ish amount of sleep after jazzas stream today Jackie :) and I hope youre healing well after surgery
That's therapy grade putty & quite beneficial if you need to strengthen your hands or wrists following an injury or surgery or recovering from an illness that causes muscle loss.
I agree! The medium one was the best of the 3. Also I hope you’re recovery is going well!!!
The stuffed animals aren’t scary they are just very angry and cute they are simply misunderstood lol 😆
I used to get those back in the 90s and they were great
I do really like the Aaron's Thinking Putty! It does get softer with handling it, but not as soft as slime.
crickets are delicious so I would definitely be trying the mealworms!
Jackie always makes my day better when she posts!!!
Yeah
Exactly ❤️
I live in Mississippi (southern US), and we have a couple dollar stores in our town. And I have seen every one of those candies at our Dollar Tree store at some point, and most on a regular basis. They are not worth the prices that Vat19 listed. Hope this helps. I agree that except for the middle box, the others weren't worth it. 😁
I like the technical difficulties sign. Her tripping on a carp looks so adorable.
I like watching vat19 channel and iv never seen anyone try any of there products, so I was so excited to watch this video ❤
I ate a mealworm once, it really wasn't much of an experience so you're not really missing much by not eating those bugs haha
Mostly just some crunch
Us southerners call it a crunchy protein, nothing special, just a more eco-friendly sort of foodstuffs
@@bootercup001 they’re really nice on tacos - add good crunch and extra protein.
@@khills lol idk why that just sounded wrong. But cool!
Smencils were sold after school or in book fairs for like a dollar or two where I was
OMG, where in from smecils cost 10 dollars! I WANTY IN ME DOLLAR STORE!
It’s crazy they didn’t do the designs on the bigger boxes.
So glad I found your channel again it’s been a few years .. use to love ALL your diy resin videos , hope all is well ♥️
That thinking putty is usually that hard when you first open it and after not playing with it for a while. But it softens up after kneading it a bit.
The pencils and erasers were probably at the dollar store because they couldn't sell them and Dollarama bought any they didn't put in mystery boxes, out at a discount.
Oh no, not another mystery box. I'm usually disappointed when I get one. I'm nervous for you 😬 waiting for the🧂
I love watching the break it to make it videos on vat19,ri recommend, and I also love nerdEcrafter videos lol
LOL. * cries a little *
That is super sad for u🙀 but how do u even know that? U said it was from ur childhood, so u have a really good memory😺
I want the oversized chapstick, it's so cute lol
Haven‘t seen Angel for a while, is he doing ok?
He‘d probably be pretty interested in the cardboard box 😏
I love vat19 not gonna lie there break it to make it series is one of my favorite things to watch 😭
Those smencils brought me back so many memories, back in my elementary school they would sell them as like a fundraiser for
the school, and every popular kid had one :]
Jackie next time you're in the US you need to visit one of our chain dollar stores. You'll be so salty. We have it so much worse lol
You just have to hold the putty longer it works and it’s not exclusive it’s at bookstores.
Love your laugh Jackie, it is so contagious !
2 of my favourite UA-camrs! Finely!
I just got done watching their videos. I love Vat 19😭 they're so funny
*Me: seeing title.*
Oh no, Jackie! Didn't mystery mini brands, mystery box from convents and etc break your heart enough?
Your dollar tree must be awesome, here in Oregon, USA we don’t have those cool things.
The contrast between Jackie’s “sausage fingers” as she calls them and the tiny hands is hilarious 😂
I love your videos Jackie, you inspire me!
I would have been MAAAAD if I got that small box!!!
Honestly, I got a mystery box from Vat19 and was disappointed. It's better to just order what you want from them.
Trust me, those little meal worms are actually not bad. Better that way then just cooked without drying.
r e a l l y
I've had nacho cheese flavored ones and they're just like popcorn.
@@AStupidIce ಠ╭╮ಠ you actually eat them? No hate but just like-
@@meepbeep7928 yep. i'm an experimental eater.
Chicken nuggets are grosser than any worm snack will ever be lol
so i have a collection of those crazy arons puttys and the colorchange only works if you play with it for 15- 20 minutes and o make the putty glow in the dark brighter you have to hold it up to a bright light to basically charge it up
“I’m the least annoyed with at this time”. This is me, pretty much all the time.
