Thanks for having me on the show guys! Was a lot of fun!
Really appreciate you coming on the podcast!!
are u ready for Elden Ring??
@@humanbean3 My body is ready
I like that you’re basically saying the same thing as Steve Kaufman. Find something you enjoy and immerse yourself. That’s why for me video games are the best la language learning tool. Basically learned English with it over the years and I’m now starting the same process in Japanese.
Go Matt, your videos are amazing. They are helping me a LOT. Do you have any plans for a tierlist of 3DS games to learn japanese?
I thoroughly recommend Matt’s channel to anyone interested in learning Japanese it has interesting content and a really friendly community attached to it.
N5-N2 in a year, what the.
I really love Matt's message about doing fun things, rather than stressful things. I watched a walkthrough of FF7R in Japanese. I really like the story. But I mostly like visual novel games. I played 五等分の花嫁∬ ~夏の思い出も五等分~ last year and I really loved it. I'm waiting for the sequel, 映画『五等分の花嫁』 ~君と過ごした五つの思い出, to come out in June this year. They're on Nintendo Switch and PS4. Just by looking at their covers, you'll see why I like this series. (笑)
Yesss
Hey man
🔥
@@KoreKaraPodcast I love to see this kind of positivity in the Japanese learning community lately, which you guys seem to be helping to create a lot of! ❤
i lost it when they said they hated yotsuba, that shit made me cry when i finished volume 1
I’m in his position now. In an Eikaiwa job I loathe but studying Japanese to get a translation job and get out of it. Except I have a daughter on the way. I’m still gonna do it though. I will be out of Eikaiwa within the next 3 years.
I feel your pain man. You can do it man!! Just do your best everyday and you'll reach your goal eventually!
Congrats on the daughter on the way btw! Hope it all works out for you :)
You can do it!! The KoreKara Squad believes in you.
Korekarapodcast is literally my my subscription list in podcast form
All you need is the KoreKara Podcast
I actually love Yotsubato and wouldve read it even in english lol it’s so wholesome
Noo
Matt and Game Gengo 最高!
だよね
❤ Thanks so much for your support man!
Not Esperanto, but I have been proudly ACATTin for nearly 2 years. Catalan. From zero to unusually fluent for a foreigner living here in Barcelona.
Love GameGengo. Awesome channel
love him too
Great message. Find the stuff you enjoy and you'll be rewarded for it. Great interview and guest as always!
💯
It's actually not possible to pass the JLPT N1 if you aren't already subscribed to the KoreKara Podcast
True, true. It's just how things work, people. Hey, don't get mad at me. I don't make the rules.
my reviews are glaring at me right now... they gonna have to wait... future razas hair was inspiring too

Brillaint as always You guys should try and get Geno Samuel on the podcast
KoreKara podcast is my favorite anime
I approve of this comment
So many Matts 😍
You love to see it
Can never have too many Matts 😂
Brb changing my name to Matt
My new name gonna be オージマット
@@oojiman オートマチックなオージマット
I wonder if Matt knows about OCRs when it comes to tools
It enables me to play stuff like Shin Megami Tensei V and to easily look up words
Sure do! Very useful! Especially if you find a game with an easy to read font!! :D
Which OCR do you personally use @Opu?
@@GameGengo I mainly use the OCR function in ShareX, works great. I can use ShareX to make the screenshot for my card as well (and to record the audio in case I'm playing a visual novel like Steins;Gate)
I'm using a cheap 10$ Capture Card from China to get my Switch Gameplay onto my PC where I can use the OCR.
Another one I'm using is Capture2Text, this one is great for Manga as well.
Maybe you could make some kind of Video about your OCR Setups, would be really interesting to some people I think.
I'm honestly not sure if or not I would use Games as Immersion Material if there weren't OCRs 😂
Ah yeah and Yomichan is also always part of my OCR Setup of course
i don't understand his videos, but it's so funny to watch it! :>
Learning things with artistic value is much more important than a top notch qualification. no one would ask if you have N1 if you are a good teacher. might be N3 , N2 haha.... I buy Matt philosophy, and I start learning songs, playing games, which in this crucial world... are something dumb and crazy in others' eyes... but I just dun care. haha... coz I know in the long run, I am going to master than language much better than just using a pen to pick the right ones.
Didn't he actually get to n2 though first through traditional methods...
hey, youtsuba is pretty fun to read. When your pretty early in learning Japanese, its even better.
There's definitely a market for it!
My friend also got fluent through Japanese online game. I doubted he's not Japanese until I saw his ID card. He's now working for a game company in Japan. I tried same thing to learn English but it's not for me. Because I don't read text even in Japanese anyway.
いかんによらず。One piece of grammar less to study for the JLPT N1. Thank, Matt! You guys don't fool me, Eric and Raza. I could see the confusion on your faces betraying you when Matt said, "いかんによらず" . JLPT N1 fail!
How are you not sure of how long you have been in a place? 🤨
Talk all that game, but what’s your JLPT score?
Yeah okay you passed N1 but are you subscribed to the KoreKara Podcast?
@@KoreKaraPodcast I am and to add the cherry on top I smashed the like button
i relate to that yotsuba diss. its always reccomended to learners as an easy manga to read but its boring AF
Same for Shirokuma Cafe
@@KoreKaraPodcast shirokuma cafe is a classic and I will tolerate no such blasphemy!
@@kwicksandz I would like to formally apologize to the studio and all families involved
I really don't think it is boring tho
Really enjoyed reading it
@@KoreKaraPodcast サザエさん and ドラえもん are a much better choice and are actually culturally relevent to Japanese people and language opposed to Japanese learning community trends.
That song you're playing in the first few seconds really makes me mad with the plagiarism and copyright abuse surrounding it.
I wanted to find a video or article that details it to link here but i couldn't find a suitable one. The comments on this video touch on it well though: ua-cam.com/video/QRoNqlsO4kY/v-deo.html
Consider crediting the original authors of the song in your description. ZUN and Shibayan deserve it, Deadman does not.
I don't know why i was feeling sad while watching
❤😍I like you very much just as you are. 好き〜っっつ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ありがとう
whats up with people being named matt and japanese lmao
